presentation of the 1200 BONNEVILLE T 120 Black 2016
The Bonneville will surprise you in more ways than one. While its styling has hardly changed since the 865 cm3 version, itself largely copied from the Bonnie of the Sixties, its level of quality has taken a leap forward, and its technology has nothing to envy many machines in many segments. The 1200 Bonneville fully embraces Classic culture. The visual effects are there, the name is legendary, the communication perfectly in tune.
now a T 120, the Bonneville is no longer the placid machine with shortness of breath and limited muscle. Equipped with a big 1200 cm3 parallel twin, the British bike now sends out more than 10 mkg. Copious! With a respectable 80 horsepower on top of the torque. And there's a lot more to it than a twin-cylinder and bits of steel. On board, you'll find traction control, ABS, Ride-by-Wire with two fuel injection maps (road or rain), an anti-theft system with coded key, an anti-dribble clutch, LED front and rear lights, heated grips with triple configuration and a USB accessory socket.
The Black Edition, as its name suggests, is black. But that's not all. The previous Black series was limited to one color. The 1200 is available in two volumes: Jet Black, and a pronounced Matt Graphite gray. To mark its difference, the T 120 Black is distinguished by a brown seat and full black details: rims, engine finish, exhausts, headlight surround, mirror and front fender retaining rods, foot controls and passenger footrest, turn signal covers and passenger grips.
like the Bonneville T 120, the Black can be fitted with a host of accessories and the Prestige kit for added charisma. It includes :
- Genuine four-bar chrome tank badge
- Black stitched and ribbed seat
- Transparent black LED blinker lights
- Chrome Vance & Hines conical mufflers
- Black balloon grips
- Chrome chain guard, alternator and clutch covers and throttle body covers.

Chapter Presentation: Avoir droit: droit is not granted. So don't write "ils avaient droient" but ils avaient droit. Sorry, but that really stings the eyes! Rating : 4/5 Respond to Sool
You can really feel the torque. With the sound that goes with it, it's a treat. This bike is all about smoothness and acceleration... But not in speed. It's not designed for speed. Its niche is cruising, up to 90-100. Forget the freeways. A very low center of gravity makes it a real bike, and turns follow on their own. The riding position is vertical. Not tiring for arms and back. However, if you want to ride with 2 people, you'll need to add a rear handlebar. I haven't had a chance to try out the ABS. The rain/dry mode effectively changes the engine mapping and adapts performance, which is reassuring. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Erru73
This bike is really beautiful and great, I don't regret having it, it's a pleasure to ride every day and what's more, it doesn't consume any fuel
Just for fun, I'd like to try out Triumph's Speedmaster this summer. Rating : 3/5 Respond to Delphdom
It's extremely maneuverable and smooth, with phenomenal torque, and of course it's more suited to short trips than long motorway journeys!
A true marvel! Rating : 5/5 Respond to Papy
