presentation of the 1700 Thunderbird Storm 2016
when Triumph entered the world of custom motorcycles, the brand had only two types of machine in its range: the gentle Speedmaster and America on the one hand, and the pachydermic and respectful Rocket III on the other. Then came the Thunderbird in a 1600 version and a limited 1700 series. An elegant cruiser powered by a big twin. This opened up new horizons for England, especially on the American side.
this Thunderbird woke up one morning in a bad mood. The coffee was rotten, the weather was disgusting, the Speed and Street Triple cousins were out fucking around in the village, and to top it all off, the PQ had run out...... That was all it took for the machine to lose its mind and go over to the dark side of the force. This morning, the Thunderbird Storm was born. Its dark side will escape no one, pitting it against Harley-Davidson's dark machines bearing the "Dark" banner. What's more, with its double Speed Triple optics and drag-bar handlebars, it looks downright nasty. You don't kiss it like that.
the Storm chose a big twin to go out with. The 1700 cm3 parallel twin sends out 98 hp with gusto and a hefty 16 mkg of torque. With its 47 mm fork, large 200 mm rear tire, 300 kg dry weight and large catalog of accessories under its arm, this dark cruiser is not afraid of confrontation and is only too happy to correct the indelicate.
