presentation of the 1200 Bonneville Bobber Black 2019

" Why? More black - and why only black?! We can change the night into something more spirited, can't we! ". The Bobber Black is right. To give a certain cachet to a motorcycle, to its finery, to its covetousness, the black hue is well-suited, bringing its share of elegance or mystery, even a sought-after taciturn side, but... But you can stand out from the crowd by bringing more than just dark color to the wheels. The tone is set, and this oh-so-imperious Triumph crosses the night with its desires. But how?

By pushing everything in front of it. The standard Bobber already has quite a presence, with its amputated physique in the back, its imitation hardtail frame and its axe-edged saddle. This Black edition is identified by several points. Let's start with the most obvious: it's black all over, but in two colors: gloss or matte. The parts that go under the paint shower are numerous: complete exhaust lines, wheel hubs, tank, headlight surround, housings, levers, handlebars, saddle support and foot controls.

Now let's turn our attention to where the Bobber Black goes further, where it makes the road its own: its front end is much beefier. Since the standard version, the fork has been increased from 41 to 47 mm. The front wheel shrinks from 19 to 16 inches and gains a second 310 mm brake disc. More muscular and fuller, the bike's stern is undeniably more aggressive, but also more efficient. The new front end makes for a more virile ride, more in tune with the darker souls of the men in the shadows who desire it. The scales are less appreciative, with an extra ten kilos pushing the weight needle above 237 units.

The Bobber Black takes the opportunity to get a new headlight with a distinctive light signature. Behind it, you'll find all the elements you need to get the most out of your ride. These include a single-seater suspension seat with adjustable positioning, a 1200 cm3 High Torque twin-cylinder engine with more torque than the Bonneville , and copious on-board eon-board electronics, including ABS, electronic throttle, Rain and Road riding modes, disconnectable traction control and cruise control.
Put down the seat, turn the key, wake up the twin and open up generously. There's almost 11 mkg of torque waiting for you at 4,000 rpm and a stable of 77 horses through the connecting rods. Everyone's looking at you wherever you go?!?! Isn't that what you wanted........

I've got oil coming out of the alternator housing through the wiring harness sheath and seeping under the bike..
Has this ever happened to anyone before?
My dealer had "repaired" but it's happening again!
Thanks for your feedback...

French Barnaud Model 2018
The Bobber is a real success.
The styling is very much in the Bobber spirit, with the bike lightened to the max and the rear buckle to great effect.
The exhausts deliver a rocking sound that matches the style.
At low revs, the 1.2L really rages, so watch out for the on-board radar, lol...
On the downside, comfort is really something to forget (despite a new shock absorber and seat), and range will be 180 km max.

I've just tried out the Bobber, and it's a real success. I can't find anything wrong with it, and you quickly get a banana feeling on the handlebars... and that's no mistake.
the other Bobbers on the market don't hold a candle to it, just give them a try, no photo.
