presentation of the 900 Bonneville T 100 Gold Line 2022
A ray of sunshine between the grass and the fog. There will be no jealousy among Bonnevilles this year; everyone will be entitled to their own special series. The Gold Line theme will be the most extensive, covering eight models including the small Bonneville (900 cc).
The T100 Gold Line gets exactly the same color treatment as the 1200. As the title suggests, hand-painted gold lines adorn the tank and sides. Grey is the guest of honor, but a deep green steals the show; with large stripes running across the interested parts.
Only the Triumph badge on the tank and the white piping on the seat are different. The Bonnie shows its strong link with its little sister in this original edition.
The distinction is the same as with the production models. Less chrome for the 900, more discreet crankcases, no fork gaiters, a single front brake disc and, of course, a more modest engine.
But it's no slouch either. Over the years, the vertical twin has returned to a value of 65 hp. Its torque of 8.2 mkg is reached at just 3750 rpm.
Braking will have to make do with a single disc per wheel. For 230 kilos of braking power. ABS will be there for complicated situations; traction control is also part of the standard equipment, although it should be used very little. The Bonnie T100 also gets a USB socket under the seat, a power-assisted clutch and English charm.
The T100 Gold Line offers all the style of the 120, without the punch, but for 2150 euros less. Its play of colors and gilding costs 600 more than the standard Bonneville.
