presentation of the SCRAMBLER 2015
Model released for the 2015/2016 range. only 20 models were made, making it a true collector's item.
As the SCRAMBLER phenomenon is present in a great many brands, Ural presents here its vision of the thing.
It's a modified version of the Ural Ranger, with the option of engaging the second drive wheel for off-roading. Weight has also been saved, which is why it has no spare wheel. For off-road use, the tires and exhaust positions have been adapted for this purpose. It also features fog lights and a crossbar on the handlebars. The latter will enable you to attach devices such as GPS, cameras, etc.
It's worth noting that the SCRAMBLER phenomenon shouldn't be seen as a fad, but rather as a return to our roots. Indeed, when the first motorcycles were manufactured, roads were not yet as we know them, and were more akin to dirt tracks than long ribbons of asphalt. So it's only logical that our ancestors adapted their vehicles to these conditions.
And yes, "fashion" hasn't invented anything! And this version of the Ural scrambler, being specially designed to go off-road, seems to be very close to what a real scrambler in the strict sense of the word could be.
