presentation of the 625 R 2025
Voge is quietly moving upmarket, aiming to invest in juicier segments. Its trail range has reached 900 hp, and the sports corner is orbiting towards 100 hp... It's time for a roadster to assert itself within its class. This is the job of the new 625 R.
Until now, Voge's offering has been designed to appeal to A2 licence holders. With the 625 R, the target segment has moved up a notch. The aim is to go after mid-size roadsters like the Z 650 or Moto-Morini Seiemmezzo, while continuing to flirt with the entry-level segment - at the same price level, but with far more watts. Imagine a Z500 or a Tuono 457 with twenty or so extra hp.
More muscle in the same clothes
Or simply a 525 R with 35% more horsepower. After all, the 625 R is based on the 525 R. You can tell from the extremely similar silhouette. Protruding shoulders, incisive headlight, menacing lines - everything's the same, except for the colors. Only a closer look at the (longer) exhaust system and engine casings will give you a clue.
The 625 R delivers 64 horsepower at 9,000 rpm. A level of power right in between an MT-07 and the 400/500 galaxy. The Voge finds itself a little caught in the middle, but its price positioning means it can claim to offer much more than a 500 for the same price (or even less). Another bonus: the torque is greater, at 57 Nm (12 more than the 525).

As with the design, the designers didn't go overboard. The 625's block is taken from the DSX trail. The engine differs from the 525 (494 cm3 in reality) with a little more bore and a little less stroke (announcing a "sportier" block), and 87 cm3 of additional combustion. With its overall design and specific features, this parallel twin should prove to be sustained but not excessive. Its 270° timing will add a little more character. For the rest, this Loncin engine is based on classic, tried-and-tested solutions: liquid cooling, Bosch injection, 6-speed gearbox, double ACT and 4 valves per cylinder.
We take the same
Although a little bigger, this engine had no trouble fitting into the chassis, which was taken entirely from the 525 R. The tubular steel frame is fitted with a Kayaba inverted fork and monoshock from the same source, Nissin twin-piston brakes, 298 mm discs, 17-inch wheels in 120 and 160 (Pirelli Angel GT) and a 16.5-liter fuel tank.

For the moment, this 625 R appears to be nothing more than a larger version of the 525 R. But explore a little further and we discover that it also benefits from a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster (ciao LCD) with turn-by-turn navigation, two Driving Modes and tire pressure monitoring.
Alongside these are traction control, USB connection and full LED lighting.
Gently aggressive in its lines, more tonic in its engine, better equipped and still at a low price, Voge's R gains in interest with this 625 upgrade. Bridgable in A2, it's just waiting to overshadow much of its competition, near and far.
