even before it goes on sale, the Voxan 1200 GTV gets a facelift - now that's responsiveness.
It has to be said that the model presented at the Paris Motor Show didn't raise a wave of enthusiasm. The bold styling, led by the typical round headlight, was not warmly welcomed. Surprise! A few weeks later, the Issoire factory revised its copy. Prior to the show, the design office had provided for the possibility of adapting the design according to the reactions of the public and the press. On the Sima stand, during the show, the Voxan delegation listened, analyzed and retained the criticisms... and here's a 1200 GTV with a seriously modified front end.
ciao round headlight, hello double optics. The forkhead has become sportier, tauter, with more aggressive and harmonious lines. The air intake under the headlights is better integrated and more discreet. The sides now feature taut, dynamic lines. The engine cowling has also evolved, with more angles and less neo-retro flair.
The adoption of this new face has necessitated the grafting of a new windscreen, now equipped with air evacuation vents.

Second version of the Voxan 1200 GTV next to the model presented in Paris
grand Tourismby Voxan- The French manufacturer's entry into the large tourer segment is a strong one. This model adds to the range and extends its range of action. And what a model it is! Following on from the remarkable Black Magic and Charade models, the new machine from Auvergne takes on the BMW R 1200 RT range, with a revised look, convincing touring credentials and a revised twin displacement to take luggage and passengers far and fast.

Already, 4 kilos have been lost on the frame. It's no longer the double tubular beam of other models, but an all-new steel trellis mounted on 2 aluminum plates. Its design has made it possible to fit a new, larger airbox.
But that's not all that's changed in the Voxan concept... almost everything has changed for this GTV.
back to the engine. No technical changes, but an increase in bore and stroke to 1166 cm3. Torque jumps by more than 20%, but power output remains limited (by French law) to 106 hp - although our ears have picked up a figure approaching 130 hp for neighboring countries. Special feature: the twin has no balance shaft (will the vibrations be to everyone's taste?!?).
Transmission on a GT is rarely designed with a chain, but rather with a cardan shaft. Voxan adopts neither. It opted for a belt, which is quieter and less costly to maintain than a chain.
The rear shock absorber becomes more conventional. The shock absorber body is no longer positioned under the engine. Instead, it's migrated to a classic Pro-link-type arrangement. Interesting detail: preload can be adjusted electrically from the dashboard. The upper section of the fairing, which supports the windscreen, can also be moved electrically to improve protection while riding. A new instrument panel with double dial and digital window is fitted under the fork head without impeding the latter's freedom of movement. as for transportation, the GTV is equipped with a small backrest to support the passenger's posterior, and 2 43-liter side cases that can be backed up by an optional 45-liter top-case. As a good GT, the V allows the rider to adjust the seat height, the lowest being 800 mm. The GTV doesn't really innovate in this segment, relying more on its styling, its mechanical personality and its audacity to gain a foothold in the grand touring segment. A tricky maneuver in a market where the competition is firmly entrenched.
25 years after the BFG 1300, the French tourer is back. Let's wish it more luck than its La Ravoire forebear. Its arrival is scheduled for the end of 2008, at a price well within its class.

Compared to other class leaders (BMW, Yamaha), the GTV is revolutionary, notably for its weight (-100kilos in dry weight compared to the GTR1400) and very short wheelbase for the class: this promises great agility, favoring sportier riding
The reliability of the belt drive system is well proven
the most controversial topic: aesthetics...and more specifically, opinions differ on the model's dynamism. Voxan will have to remember that on this point, it is lagging behind its direct competitors, whereas the Charade, BlackMagic and Café Racers are sculptural in form, with more refinement, fewer angles (especially the hoof), and above all, a return to the spirit that is so characteristic of Voxan: fantasy, seduction, the deep soul that doesn't seek to please, but does please

People who ride all year round, in all weathers, don't necessarily want an ugly bike. Rating : 5/5 Respond to FUTURA
But the saddle is too angular, too sharp. The suitcases look a little too much like the universal ones you buy at accessory shops. Finally, the mirrors/cligno are ugly! I'd prefer to see them integrated into the fairing. That way, they'd make a more effective contribution to hand protection
Otherwise, bravo Mr. Voxan for tackling this very reserved GT niche. Honestly, if I had 16,000 euros to invest in a bike, I wouldn't have forgotten you! Nevertheless, I wish you success in building up a network of enthusiasts, which would greatly encourage potential buyers. Above all, I wish you a successful launch in terms of reliability. Repeated breakdowns, even minor ones, would certainly be catastrophic for its image as a great adventurer!

Given its price, your new motorcycle is likely to attract people who have settled down in life and who are attached to the finish. As far as I'm concerned, it's details like these that would encourage me to break the bank rather than a few extra horses, as the 70 on my current bike is already more than enough
