presentation of the 1000 CAFE RACER 2005
a true product of the French terroir, that's Voxan's café-racer. Offbeat, with an inimitable taste and intrinsic personality, the roadster from Auvergne improves for 2005. No revolution in form or spirit. Nor is there any need for one; this bike doesn't follow fashion. Its charm, its curves, its silhouette... it's THE French motorcycle, with style, a little panache and a lot of quality.
The 2005 version is offered in 2 new colors, blue and orange, each adorned with a little "racing" decoration: a false number plate on the seat back, repeated as a comma on the sides of the fork head. A bit of black paint on the engines, a new dashboard with digital screens and analog meters, an improved finish, and we've covered the visual changes.
What changes the most is what's not visible, or not visible at all. The 41 mm Paioli fork has been replaced by a 43 mm Marzocchi model. The exhaust is now catalyzed and the twin has been refined, with new peripherals to give it more pep. The diameter of the throttle bodies has been increased from 45 mm to 54 mm, while the electronic management system has been reworked, without altering the character of the V2. At output, almost 6% more power is transmitted to the rear wheel.
This boiler is definitely endearing. Without losing any of its suppleness, it distributes its power with a very slight difference to the previous model. It would seem that its puff is noticeably less present at mid-range. But when the throttle moves to the right, the mill feels much stronger than before. It doesn't hesitate to attack the red zone, having been careful to convince you of its strength and character at previous revs.
The new front suspension does not alter the café-racer's roadholding. As sound and efficient as ever, it has been a source of nothing but praise and pleasure since its debut.
one wonders why Voxans don't take over every road in France. A superb engine, machines with a strong identity, motorcycles for enthusiasts... Well, we've put our finger on it. A Voxan is first and foremost a passion bike. Few people are prepared to take the plunge and ride differently. It's a shame, because products from the Issoire factory are fine vintages that shouldn't be locked away in a cellar. To be enjoyed without moderation.

The look of the machine is unique and, in my opinion, extremely attractive
I sincerely hope one day to be able to ride a Voxan Café Racer (or Black Magic even better...) if the brand survives and if my finances allow (I'm still a student and currently ride an FZ6) Rating : 5/5 Respond to Axel
The price is well within the norm.....courons chez un concess Voxan (qui se fait assez rare !!) Rating : 5/5 Respond to BourinoV
In any case, every time I talk to a voxanist, it's nothing but praise for his bike
So if I can afford it this year, I'll rob my banker
banker for a charade, otherwise I'd take a second-hand crème Rating : 5/5 Respond to la teigne
for the price of a 750 jap I have a VOX it's still something else
a+ Rating : 5/5 Respond to paulo
it's true that many voxan bikes are unreliable, or do they still exist?
yes what the heck and these are beautiful ORIGINAL motorcycles
so ride different ride VOXAN
Rating : 5/5 Respond to paulox1
For the curves and the big arsouille it's nikel! It's as good as a Japanese bike, and it's made right here at home! Rating : 5/5 Respond to gazzz
my future ?the charade Rating : 5/5 Respond to francois
On the road, it's a delight, with torque at every level and irreproachable roadholding. It bends into hairpins with surgical precision, the Michelin tyres give it diabolical stability and driving comfort, and the V2 provides rare sensations that are made in France, so there you have it
Its only drawback is its price: €12,400 (excluding registration fees). It's true that the quality remains and the price is forgotten, but still. So Mr Voxan, if you want to see more of your motorcycles on France's beautiful roads, you'd better get them at a less exclusive price
Rating : 5/5 Respond to didier
It's stupid to say, but I would ride French, if Voxans were "less exclusive", closer to the needs of everyday bikers than Val-ross or terasses playboys..
And then, this price!!!!It's beautiful, but you can't push it!
For €11900 you can have a 1200cc Buell, and for €3000 less you can have a SUZ SVS-1000
When will we see affordable 500s, 600s or 750s? ????
