presentation of the Tricker 250 2006
on the strategic offensive front, the battle rages between manufacturers to win the victories that will influence the market. Whoever has the most efficient sports bike, the most comfortable GT, the most aggressive roadster... Meanwhile, the majority of motorcyclists want to have fun, and not necessarily at 250 km/h on the corner or with 20 mkg of torque...
Yamaha's answer: the Tricker. A fun machine that quickly makes you think of a toy for adults. But not just any toy. The influence of X-games is clearly felt. This machine is a cross between a motocross bike and a motorcycle. Ultra-light (118 kg), with a svelte, simplistic look (you almost want to take it under your arm), spoked rims fitted with mixed asphalt/off-road tires and a 249 cm3, 4-stroke single, the Tricker makes you want to go trials just about anywhere. Its engine benefits from the accumulated experience of the legendary XTs, with the added care of a thorough study: forged piston, ceramic composite-coated cylinder, intake and exhaust ducts, airbox, vilo and carburetor settings optimized for the 250's playful side.
When you feel like having some fun, there's no need to think any longer: the little Yam urban trial is ready to follow you. with 19 hp, just over 100 kg, and a slim, compact design, it's sure to get you in the mood for some free-style riding. Who hasn't dreamed of a bi-cross with a motor?
While the fun and playfulness of the concept are obvious, its use is likely to be limited. It's hard to imagine the Tricker being used on long roads, especially as with 6 L in the tank, you won't be able to do Paris-Marseille like that. Off-road, trials, stunt and fun - at first glance, that's what this bike is all about. At almost 30,000 francs a toy, it's a sobering thought...
With Yamaha's announcement -"The Yamaha Tricker 250 will appeal to experienced bikers and beginners alike, thanks to its amazing agility and handling. It's a machine designed to put smiles on people's faces!" - We can't wait to get our hands on it for a good game of "Trick's".

it goes everywhere, makes no noise, ideal motorcycle behind our camper (118 kgs for a 250), RIDICULOUS CONSO, IN BRIEF, I KEEP IT 😊
Rating : 5/5 Respond to Pat64
could be due to a clogged lubrication circuit.
I'm looking for an engine.
Rating : 3/5 Respond to Marco nageur
The only downside is that other bikes tend to say hello less... they must think I'm a cyclist! ... not bad at all. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Clan59
Where can I get this "alumunium" part which is found under the niéman !??
Best wishes to all, and apart from this problem I'm so happy to have this little toy. very fun !!! Rating : 5/5 Respond to loulou
i live in the country and I don't regret changing my 600kawa for this little beaker that goes everywhere. I take it to work and I can push it to 130 without any problem Rating : 5/5 Respond to ramses
Consumption 2.5l/100Km on test,(So tank no problem)
Rating : 5/5 Respond to lol
the minuses: ridiculous fuel tank capacity and price (4500 E), a sobering thought for a trail bike reminiscent of a lightened TW...
we'll have to wait and see if it's a real pleasure to drive.... Rating : 5/5 Respond to lucco
but nothing that justifies a price of 4500 euros
-the engine has been completely written off, and is probably produced for nothing outside Japan
-ridiculous fuel tank, and here too, great savings
compared to a metal tank
-optional accessories, which, even if they were offered
would not justify the price of the trcker
conclusion: the tricker 250 will only appeal to a few fashion victims, and other snobs in search of apparent novelty
At 3750 euros, we could talk about it again. Rating : 5/5 Respond to jalbag
a 250 tricker has a torque superior to a 1000 r1 18.8 Nm against 11 for the r1, it's a superb machine to make the rear wheel, the front wheel half turns on a road of 2 meters wide, to climb stairs it's a remarkable machine to have fun taking no risk with a very low price of consumables. 46 years old I ride for 30 years in motorcycle I've had everything from 500 xt to 1300 xjr through the r1
conclusion: if you want to have fun with a becanne the tricker is made for that and to go to work I still take the 120 km/h flat and uphill I keep the same speed, where a 125 is at 80 km
