presentation of the YBR 125 2011
there's so much talk about hypersports, their stratospheric performance, and the ever more "bad boy" streetfighters, that we almost forget about machines like the YBR 125. These simple little machines, with no fuss or trumpets, that do everything without being noticed... In short, the essentials that take us to work every day for 1 euro a ride. This has been the mission of the little Yam since 2005. And for its new 2010 vintage, it thought a trip to the stylist wouldn't be out of place. New 5-spoke wheels, a new muffler design, wide tank scoops for added style and a new, more aerodynamic dashboard with a more serious look. No changes to the engine or chassis. Let's just hope Yam changes the YBR's original tires. For the rest, confidence remains in this model, which is among the most economical available: low price, minimal wear and tear on consumables, moderate fuel consumption. As some people would say: "You're very urban, missy".

I'm very happy with it. Injection: Instant start-up. Low fuel consumption. Correct size. The only downside: Performance a little lacking. But it's a 125... I recommend without hesitation. Rating : 4/5 Respond to micka39
thanks Rating : 3/5 Respond to plec
a real pleasure! easy to drive, easy to handle, nice noise, pretty, comfortable, economical; in short, a little jewel:
i recommend it for the city, and it can even take a passenger on the road without a problem! Rating : 5/5 Respond to vanderlinden
I knew I wanted a second-hand bike (as it would be sleeping under the stars), but I also wanted it to be as practical, light and modestly fuel-efficient as my credit card would allow...
In short, the ideal city bike.
After a lot of research in dealerships and on the web, one thing became obvious:
YBR where are you?
I bought this red 2008 YBR in Sep. 2011 for 1190 euros, and it's a blast. In short, I'm riding with a hard-on, but it won't last long as the rear wheel is giving me a few scares: it's spinning!
Anyway, I don't have the time, I just have to use my right foot.
It's raining and I'm running late.
In short, I'm overtaking: the light turns red, there's a truck in front, I quickly pull over and brake.
i then discover that my motorcycle wants to take my place in the Karma's chain:
Anyway, I get away unscathed, but she doesn't: crush is the only word that comes to mind.
Anyway, after her funeral, off to Yamaha:
-Hello, do you have a YBR?
-And your red YBR?
-Do you know the Karma?
-not really....
-Never mind, I'll take that black YBR, the one in ocassion.
Anyway, I've been riding it for 1 year now, and like ATCHOUM, I changed the rear tire for the Michelin pilot activ (don't worry, I've learned my lesson.).
Since changing the rear wheel made in China: cheng shin/c-905 the conquest of Gaulle has intensified...
Rating : 5/5 Respond to Windu
Since returning to France, I've bought the same one and am now at around 5,000km.
Advantages in terms of fuel consumption, handling and maintenance.
Completely satisfied Rating : 5/5 Respond to Flofed
I've owned a 125 ybr for 2 and a half years.
In terms of performance, you can't ask too much of it, it's true that it stutters, but hey, it's a 125.
Fuel consumption, quietness and sobriety are its main assets.
On the other hand, it has two weak points: it rusts and the...original tires (that's overkill) need to be remedied, so I opted for a Continental 100/98/18 at the rear and a 2.75-18 of the same brand at the front, with maxi rear shock absorbers.
In short, make these modifications and you'll be safe, because believe me, it's worth it ;) Rating : 4/5 Respond to Atchoum
I'm extremely satisfied with it! It's a maneuverable motorcycle, very economical in terms of insurance and fuel consumption (2.7l per 100), and it's great in traffic jams. I've never had any problems with it, and apart from the original tires, which are a horror and which I've replaced with Michelin, and the headlight bulb, which I've changed twice, everything is original and works perfectly. It sleeps outside under a motorcycle tarpaulin and starts without a hitch, with no rust or abnormal wear.
On the other hand, it's still a 125, so at full throttle in 5th gear on a flat, windless road, you'll hit 110 on the odometer. But for my home/work use, it's perfect and inexpensive: monthly budget 12euros for third-party insurance and 2.7 per 100, i.e. a full tank every 430 km... Something to think about!
I'm thinking of replacing it with another ybr, version 2013. Rating : 4/5 Respond to schwaa
2.3l/100, 120km/h maintained, 130km/h max (wind at my back, with suction on the freeway), supple in town, ideal seat for me and after testing a dozen models (just by sitting on it at the dealer's), I paid 1890â'¬ new^^ on special offer and don't hesitate to ask for a small discount ^^
130â'¬ of diesel saved by me by going to work with this little bike and yet it's gasoline... maintenance and parts cheaper even new... uh... I'd never let it go again ^^ and if I'd chosen another one... well, it would be another YBR Rating : 5/5 Respond to touplein
it's class for kw we don't get these models Rating : 3/5 Respond to karidioula
Despite everything, I think it's high time to "modernize" it and give it a real makeover this time! It would undoubtedly boost its sales and also enable it to gain ground on the competition! Rating : 3/5 Respond to Bobo
