In 1955, Yamaha produced its very first motorcycle, a 125 cm3 two-stroke named YA-1. To celebrate Yamaha Motor Corporation's 60th anniversary, and to pay tribute to the iconic racing models that made the brand's sporting success possible, the2016 YZ 450 F will be available in a limited edition yellow/black package featuring the famous "speedblock" motif. A much-appreciated color, notably on the50th anniversary edition of theR1 hypersport model of 2006 vintage.
in addition to this evocative color scheme, this version will feature a raised Akrapovic muffler, a clutch housing and GYTR hand guards. The Yamaha Power Tuner will also be supplied for quick and easy on-track reprogramming of the injection box. Here's a reminder of the developments on this cross-country machine in 2016:
