presentation of the R7 700 World GP 60th Anniversary 2022

In the Yamaha 2022 range, the "Speed Block" color is the one we'll be seeing the most of this year. And with good reason: all sports bikes will receive it to celebrate the brand's 60 years of GP - from 125 tohypersport. In between, a mid-size is a reasonable AND sporty choice.

As a result, enthusiasts interested in a medium-displacement bike will opt for the R7. A not-too-powerful engine and a pistard attitude will provide plenty of grist for young trajectory fans.
The "anniversary" deco brings a breath of joy and color to the dreary array of other choices. The R7, like all other R models, is only available in abysmal black or lead blue.

The younger generation will appreciate the old-school feel. The older generation will be transported back to a distant era when Grand Prix Yamaha swore by this red and white. A number plate marks the front end, while the wheels are beautifully finished in gold. A specific 60th Anniversary World GP badge on the tank adorns this machine.

Yamaha has yet to announce the price of this edition, but we're guessing you'll have to add 300 roros to the bill. Otherwise, there are no technical differences between this anniversary series and the standard 700 R7. The latter relies on the 689 cm3 CP2 twin and the MT-07 frame to take its place in the ring of gentle sportbikes. Its front end, however, is very different from that of the roadster, with inverted forks and low half-handlebars for an aggressive riding position.

Barely off the assembly line, the R7 is already entitled to commemorative honors. Its plastic looks will make you want to fight, while its 73 horsepower may seem a little on the low side. Unless you quickly learn to master the trajectories. That's what all the guys honored by this special series have done.
