presentation of the YZ 250 Monster Energy Edition 2023
The flagship of Yamaha's 2-stroke cross-country range, the YZ 250 now sports the "Monster replica" look of the machines entered in MXGP. A sheet of black topped by bluish shades, with the famous "M" trademark of the energy drink made by Hansen.
Dark , aggressive, almost devious, the YZ is not looking for joy, but to galvanize the rider. Some will feel an extra taste of attack or a new pride with this special color. And with identity: a good part of the cross-country range, right up to the MotoGP M1s, have made it their banner.
No special parts, technical improvements or bonuses for this "Monster": engine and chassis are rigorously identical to the standard model. The latter also received a major update in 2022. Yamaha has refined the bodywork, installed a flatter seat, improved braking with a new, more efficient front caliper and a lighter rear disc, recalibrated the suspension and shifted a little weight thanks to a new ring gear and a different clutch lever. As with all "Monster" cross-country bikes, the 250 requires an additional 300 euros. The total bill starts to sting, but it's already a fine tool, among the most affordable in the category.
