I know a lot of kids (and why should they be the only ones?) who are going to be happy with the new version of Aprilia's RS. With its physique taken straight from the RSV-R 1000, it's easy to imagine yourself as a young Superbike contender. While the fairing flatters the eye, it also makes a major contribution to aerodynamics.
The ultimate evolution of braking technology reserved for the highest levels of competition just a few years ago, radial braking is now standard equipment on the RS 125. Master cylinder piston and 4-piston caliper are now of this type. A large 320 mm track and a new 40 mm diameter inverted fork take care of the braking.

I've just bought a 2012 model, so it's the latest release
For the moment full power but with stock carb and it's already going pretty well 170s without forcing
I'm going to switch to a 30 carb plus a complete arrow line, a forged piston, a reinforced connecting rod and carbon valves, and I'm planning a longer gear ratio in order to hit 200kmh, at least I hope so. Otherwise, it's magnificent, with top-quality finish and efficient braking. Lightweight and easy to angle, it's a real pleasure from 8,000rpm

Very lively engine, thrilling 2-stroke noise, super-light chassis. Performance is comparable to that of a 500, or even a 600, but the sensations are far superior.
The engine has no reliability problems if the recommended maintenance is carried out on time. Mine has over 20,000km and has never had a single tightening. This bike is totally addictive!

I doubt that the people who dare to say that it sounds like a 50 actually own one, because as the owner of a cagiva mito (similar to the rs 125), mine doesn't sound like a moped, although it does sound like a 2-stroke, but it's deeper and raspier. A small downside for novices is the odd riding position at first, but you get used to it quickly, and as for performance, I'm not going to repeat what's been said: it's only good after 8,000 revs for a 125, of course, but don't forget to budget for petrol when you like to ride. I'd recommend it to people with a "b" license who want to get a taste of the big cube, you'll get your money's worth. And if you love your RS, it'll love you back! Rating : 5/5

The 125 rs is finally up to date, with its sharp lines and top-of-the-range equipment (for 5,000 euros, you might say)
now we'll have to put it through its paces to see if there are any notable improvements in reliability and performance (in full gear, of course)

For me, this machine is the most accomplished on the 125 market, and can even claim to put many "big cubes" to shame (in full power version)

It almost makes me regret having bought an Aprilia RS 125 TUONO (which is still a very, very good machine) a year earlier

It's the GPR that copied the RSV and now the RS125 takes the design of its big sister and they dare to say that it looks like the GPR but it's nothing, just compare an RS125 to the RSV1000 and you recognize 100% the features whether it's the fairing, rims etc. ..

It's the most magnificent of the RS125s, even if I think its aerodynamics will be less efficient... but otherwise the same engine performance, just the radial brake.

I've got a 98 valentino replica in full power with a high-volume line + Arrow muffler, 34 hp carburetor, and the bike goes well ... I find it a bit sluggish to start up, but when the exhaust valve opens, you can feel the power kicking in and excellent acceleration, so it's a racing bike that's not really intended for city riding, but which nonetheless adapts quite well to it.. as for scraping the big cube, euh fo pa abuser a la limite un bridé 34 ch qui reste assez lourd... ou alors c'est que le gars qui conduit le gros cube ne cherche pas a faire la course mais si le gro cube fait ciré un petit peu au démarrage c'fini :p Rating : 5/5
I've been riding a 600 diversion for 2 years (I'm 21), and I wouldn't spit on an rs to get me on the track. But please stop saying that you're scraping the bottom of the barrel!!! if an rs makes 34.6hp and 114kg dry, that's only 0.28hp to tow a kilo, whereas a simple diversion with 61hp and 187kg dry gives 0.33hp to pull 1kg... so imagine an R6 or a 1000 GSXR! especially as you don't put the 1st one at 170km/h (nor do I ;-)! you have to compare like with like, guys.
