presentation of the RSV4 1000 RR 2020

Aprilia is one of the manufacturers who know Superbikes best. And when it comes to making the most of its know-how, the RSV4 RR is just what you need. Superb and technologically advanced, it knows only one master: the stopwatch. With the 2017 evolution, it's one second slower than theold version. It has to be said that a whole raft of improvements were introduced at the same time as the Euro4 standard.

Impossible to remain insensitive to its V4. A little jewel of power, with a cavernous trunk and a copious 201 hp. It's done what's needed to keep its ardor.
For breath, a huge muffler with double oxygen probes. For pace, a new ECU has been installed to increase engine speed by 300 rpm. The engine has become so available that the ducts of the variable intake system have simply been removed, saving 500 grams. At the heart of the engine are new rings and valve springs, as well as lighter pistons.

On-board electronics were already well advanced on the RSV4 since the introduction of the APRC package in 2011. Now, Bosch's inertial measurement system is used to accompany the 4th generation of this series of riding aids. These include :

New ATC: traction control, adjustable to 8 positions, refined and more efficient.
New AWC: in-house anti-wheeling, adjustable on 3 levels, now much more precise thanks to the IMU.
New ALC: Aprilia Launch Control, the stop-start assistant. 3 settings and even more effective.
New AQS: the shifter, named Aprilia Quick Shift, which now allows both upshifting and downshifting without touching the clutch.
New APL: Aprilia Pit Limiter, a system that allows you to select and limit the maximum speed allowed in the pit lane; or incidentally, to comply with the speed limits posted on the road.
New ACC: cruise control. The new electronic management system allows you to maintain a set speed without having to use the throttle.

And to complete the package, braking now uses Cornering ABS technology. It works in conjunction with rear wheel lift mitigation (RLM) to ensure stability and efficiency during deceleration. Adjustable to 3 levels and disconnectable.

Aprilia took the opportunity to remove a whole bunch of knick-knacks in the path between the ride-by-wire and the intake, shaving off 590 grams. Last but not least, the three engine maps (Sport, Track and Race) are adapted to the new, more powerful electronics...! No, let's not forget the new all-digital TFT instrument panel. It's like a little tablet, teeming with information. The color screen offers two types of display, road or track.
As an option, you can opt for the V4-MP telemetry platform. More advanced, it now enables you to fine-tune the bike's settings turn by turn on the racetrack. All you need is a smartphone. In the other direction, it's possible to retrieve various information recorded by the on-board system.

With its faultless chassis, praised for its never-failing efficiency, the RSV4 RR improves its braking performance by increasing the size of the discs to 330 mm (+10 mm) and by fitting Brembo M50 calipers. Clearly, it's one step closer to a true racing machine. In any case, it's one of the top hypersports machines currently available, with hard-to-reach limits.

French Tom Lou Model 2015
A killer, agile and stable, and above all a demonic noise that's tiring over long distances. in short, too many people miss out on something by only riding japanese bikes, not that they're bad, but efficiency and beauty make the difference and drive passion. Rating : 4/5

French Vash Model 2016
Totally agree with you guys; I just got the 2016 model and it's nothing but happiness. I'm only using it on the road at the moment and it's really easy and pleasant, even over long distances. Then there's the V4, so it's just a delight, onctieux, supple and powerful, the sound that comes from it... magic and so much fun that you don't want to let go of the throttle. the chassis is a real pleasure to ride in the corners, and the bike throws you off at a glance. A former owner of a Daytona 675, I was afraid of losing a little agility and ease; well, it's nothing of the sort, turning in just as easily. Its only major drawback for me is that the engine heats up very quickly at standstill. It goes up to dizzying speed and the bike cuts out at 115° so as not to burn out all the electronics, apparently. In short, it's a killer, a bike for enthusiasts who should try it at least once in their lives. Voila, grand V a tous les tarmos. Rating : 5/5
