presentation of the Tornado 900 Tre 2004
although the 900 Tornado has been on show for 3 years now, its plastic has not changed at all. Especially its exterior, with its cooling propellers, is unlike any other. But don't think of the Tornado as a track bike that's going to pulverize everything: its dry weight of 198 kgs and its 135 hp prevent it from teasing a GSX-R 1000 or an R1 - the pleasure aboard the Tornado lies elsewhere. Especially in the engine, an ultra-compact 3-cylinder with a bewitching song. This boiler has a charm that can be appreciated more on the road than on the track, offering sensations and emotions that manufacturers are increasingly forgetting. For the price, this bewitching machine combines charm and carelessness: the design is superb, and many details are very well worked out, such as the indicators, the wheel leche and the superb ignition key; but others spoil the pleasure, such as the casing and frame castings. This Benelli is not in the Japanese Hypersport camp, but rather in that of the MV-Agusta F4; a rare machine designed more for esthetes than time trialists, although this 900 doesn't fall short.
