presentation of the F 800 R Chris Pfeiffer Replica 2009
we spotted it at the Milan Motor Show, and it's no surprise that BMW is marketing this F 800 R Chris Pfeiffer replica. Firstly, because it was the famous stunter who gave the Bavarian brand's medium-displacement roadster its letters of nobility (in the devil-may-care style); and secondly, because it was practically he who created it. Remember a few years ago, when the F 800 series had just been released; 2 models available, S and ST, but no roadster. Chris Pfeiffer took an S and modified it to his liking, stunting and twisting it all over the place: the F 800 R was born, long before Béhème started marketing it. With this replica, BMW has come full circle, presenting the legitimate child of its union with Chris. Easily identifiable with its Motorrad Motorsport colors, this F 800 R plays on notes of contrast with its white front rim and black rear one. The face is meaner thanks to the removal of the fork head. Exclusive note: the Pfeiffer signature on the fuel tank. This is a limited series, and as such, it must offer those little extras that make all the difference: in addition to its sporty graphics, you'll be able to affix a set of stickers from the Allgäu champion's official sponsors - the shock absorber spring is painted red, LED indicators and a painted seat cover are fitted, and to give it a sportier voice, the twin-cylinder gains an Akrapovic exhaust. This special series retails for €8,990, stunt courses not included.
