presentation of the G 310 R 2022

BMW's smallest roadster gets a facelift. Only half, in fact, but it's enough to make you notice its new face. The G 310 R / G 310 GS duo has enabled the brand to open up to a more modest clientele. Above all, it's an opportunity to put the Bavarian badge on motorcycles for emerging markets. The Eldorado is over there. While Euro 5 has imposed a few changes, these are much more noticeable on the roadster than on the trail bike.

Indeed , the GS 's physique hasn't changed a bit. The G 310 R, on the other hand, goes one step further, so why not take advantage of these moments of refreshment to change your face! An unwavering desire to resemble the big roadsters in the range has led the scalpel to the face of the bike. More aggressive and sharper, the headlight assembly and cladding undeniably mimic the S 1000 R's face. The daytime running light signature links all the R models in the range, including the F 900 R and R 1250 R. All lighting is now LED.
More modern, but not too modern. The instrument cluster remains an LCD model, whereas we were expecting a TFT panel to match the Duke 390. Is the market still skittish? It's true that only the Katoche is equipped with one in its class.

With new side covers between the radiator scoops and the new fuel tank, the G 310 R looks more serious - or more rugged. Underneath, the powertrain hasn't really changed, but it has been reworked for Euro5. Installed upside down in the frame (intake is from the front), the 313 cm3 single is cleaner, retains the same power figures - 34 hp and 3 mkg - and receives a few minor tweaks.
First of all, an anti-dribble clutch. You don't really have to worry about a backlash at this level of potato, but you never know when you're pulling in 12 gears on a rainy evening... The gain will be much more noticeable in the left hand, where the clutch requires less effort.

BMW G 310 R 2022 - 1BMW G 310 R 2022 - 1

BMW G 310 R 2021 the drivetrain also gains a Ride-by-Wire throttle, 4-position adjustable brake and clutch levers, and a system that increases idle speed on start-up to prevent stalling.

The BMW G 310 R is manufactured in India by the very important TVS Motor Company. Low cost, but not cheap. This roadster features a distinctive silhouette, 41 mm inverted forks, 4-piston Bybre front brake calipers (a sub-brand of Brembo) and ABS. The frame is tubular steel and the swingarm aluminum. The brand claims a top speed of 143 km/h and fuel consumption of just over 3 liters per 100 km.

A little 'titanium grey' paint on the crankcases and a few other parts, some new colors, a small price increase and the G 310 R is back on the road. Nothing has changed on the chassis, suspension or brakes, except that the wheelbase has been shortened by 6 mm.
With this more dynamic look and this update, BMW's smallest roadster continues to make its presence felt. It won't be its best-seller, but it's a good way to get started on a BM roadster without having to start with a 900.

French JLTARAMACV Model 2023
soon a year with this nice machine and more than 66ookm...a careful break-in and the quality of manufacture give me all satisfaction..made once a peak with + of 140 meter...it was to conclude the break-in...from now on 80...110 are quite sufficient for me.in general... here is.....will it be my last motor bike...there is the question!!!! Rating : 4/5
FUN TRES FUN J'ADORE ! UN VRAI PLAISIR ! 5 ETOILES
French RVT69 Model 2023
I bought this G310R for my daughter, who just got her A2. A motorcyclist for 45 years, I find this bike incredibly FUN. It has a very nice look and for a first bike it's light and very safe for a young adult who didn't have a scooter when she was 14. What's more, the insurance is very affordable for a young license holder. This G310R really shows its character above 6500/7000 rpm... it goes up and up and up, and that's a real treat. The single-cylinder behaves like a twin-cylinder, opening up without forcing in 4th and 5th gear. It goes from 70km/h to 110km/h with ease, so it's great for overtaking! It's a real pleasure in town, but also on the freeway, and that's a nice surprise: 300 kms on the freeway and it does 130 km/h without flinching...and more...if you like! Quite comfortable, exceptional roadholding, efficient and safe braking; ABS obliges! 4litres on combined consumption and on demand! A real success story. I'd recommend it for a first bike, but also as a second. I understand JLT ARMACV, when age means you need a lighter bike, the G310R is ideal. I love this bike, and I'm really happy that my daughter is getting her first taste of motorcycling with this marvel of intelligence and common sense! Bravo BMW! Rating : 4/5
French Model 2022
the weather has been conducive to hastening the end of the running-in period ... almost 2000km! to cut a long story short ... I'm very happy with this little motorcycle and its road holding and ability to be inserted into traffic...
i'm starting to take it up to 7000 rpm ... it's willing!!! but knowing me, I won't go much beyond that ... 110 km/h isn't bad enough!!!

to conclude...I'd go so far as to recommend this machine...

will it still have a successor.....time is doing its job...undermining!!!

comme ...j ' aime...
French Model 2022
being caught up by the 3rd age ..I left my sumptuous R 1250 Ret and lost 80 kg and 102 hp by adopting since a few days a G 310 R....in careful running-in I go at the speed of the blue e mob a little sharpened...70-75 kmh !
i'll let you know my impressions in a while....in any case, handling this machine has become easy again!
164 kg ....very decent comfort ...great feeling of lightness when riding! good braking and roadholding..
a new motorcycling adventure for my old bones......
Rating : 5/5
French
voila ... I've driven more perhaps than my old bones would allow but the little one has now reached 1200 km and has undergone her initial overhaul ... my impressions are still good and the machine is approaching the 90-100 km/h zone..... she wants to do well but I'm not going to rush her ... I don't think I'll push her to more than 7000 revs after that and even then only fleetingly ..
i'm looking for the 7th.......I think I'm in good..company!! necessarily!!!

bonne route à tous !
