The data acquisition system was already present on the previous 1098 S(it's optional on the standard 1198). Now, the S goes much further, adopting the traction control previously reserved for the 1098 R. Called DTC, this system uses the same software developed and used by Ducati Corse for its machines competing in the MotoGP and Superbike world championships. It offers a choice of eight settings, from plus to minus tolerance, to suit the circuit and riding conditions.
