presentation of the Streetfighter V2 S 2025
Like the Panigale V2, the new Streetfighter V2 surprised many with its new engine - more modern, cleaner, more technical, less powerful but better filled. It's a sign of a will to reason underneath a still teasing and quarrelsome plastic. With or without power moderation, Ducati's fighter remains a motorcycle with a visual uppercut.
This new generation brings something new to the table. For the first time, the "little" Streetfighter is equipped with Öhlins suspension. Since its birth in 848, it has never had the right to golden legs, whereas the big brother has never been without them, whatever the version or the year.
For a few large euros more, the 890 Streetfighter S distills the pleasure and efficiency of a NIX30 inverted fork and monoshock from the highly reputed Swedish manufacturer. Quality gear, adjustable in all directions.
The Streetfighter V2 S also boasts a number of new features. Its electronics include Pit Limiter and stop-start assist; it has a Lithium-Ion battery, is 3 kilos lighter, and has developed an allergy to the passenger. The bike is sold in a single-seater configuration. To take someone with you, you'll need to purchase the passenger kit as an accessory.
With its Panigale engine and chassis, 120 hp, Öhlins suspensions, bigger brakes (Brembo M50), much lower weight and a healthy dose of electronics (cornering ABS, traction, wheeling and engine braking controls, 3 power modes, 4 riding modes, Shifter Up&Down and automatic flashers), the Panigale is a real winner.Down and automatic turn signals), the SF V2 S is less expensive than theold Streetfighter, which wasn't S at all. A gift for buyers? Let's not forget that it has lost 33 horsepower, the desmo and its single-arm in the process.
On the other hand, it should prove more agile, easier and more available with its variable valve timing - all soaked in a new temperament. Still sporty, but not explosive.
