presentation of the 748 S 2002
you know how it is... You've got a great bike, a little jewel of character, it's "not like the others", you're happy... and what's more, you want more, to add a little salt and spice to the dish you're so happy with. That's what the 748 S is for. The superb silhouette is complemented, for just a few euros, by a few extras to enhance driving performance. Engine-wise, there's nothing new to report. The little twin Desmoquattro still produces 97 horsepower. For more, look no further than the R. The changes are on the chassis and suspension side. The S is equipped with more efficient Showa suspensions. The inverted forks are TIN-treated to reduce friction. The new 5-spoke wheels are lighter Marchesini. A different clutch master cylinder is also used. The fairing panels have been reworked since 2001 to better match the image of the 996 R. For connoisseurs, as the price is on a par with a Japanese hypersport... which doesn't have the same taste at all.
