presentation of the SportClassic 1000 Sport Biposto 2007
the 1000 Sport has undergone a number of changes to its rear end, becoming the Biposto. Originally seen as a selfish machine, it's now much nicer for the rider, with a two-seater seat (hence the name) and passenger footrests. A little lower down, the double side exhaust outlets have been replaced by one on each side. The mono-shock absorber has also been eclipsed; two combined units linked to a new swingarm do the job. In the SportClassic family, the 1000 Sport is the descendant of the 750 S from 1971. A variation on the Paul Smart, but without the fork head. Another café racer that appeals to passion and the seventies. There's the Triumph Thruxton for reviving English belles; there's the Sport for barging Italian ones. A beautiful object equipped with the 1000 cm3 twin that also officiates on the 1000 SS and other SportClassics. Some details are of rare elegance, but not necessarily practical: the polished spoked rims forbid tubeless tires; the very elegant mirrors at the end of the handlebars will certainly offer a Canal+-type image, vibrations be damned. The rebirth of the Ducati models of yesteryear haunts you, but the Sport leaves you speechless... The Paul Smart or GT will do.
