presentation of the 998 MATRIX 2004
in Matrix Reloaded, the beautiful Trinity saves the master of keys in a wild chase. In this race against illusions, the heroine rides a Ducati 996, mastering it with gripping handling.
in association with Warner Bros, the factory is presenting a Matrix series of the 998(not to be confused with the bike used in the film), in a green color scheme identifying its filiation with the Wachowski brothers' trilogy. There are no changes to the chassis, with Showa and Öhlins still responsible for damping, and the eternal tubular trellis frame and L-twin. The main change is to the soberly styled but evocative deco. The "Matrix" green theme is repeated on all trim parts, with the film's name on the edges of the rear frame.
although the 999 has taken up the Superbike torch, with a new-generation engine, the 998 remains a value with a high passion content. The legitimate daughter of the 916, it's just as popular in the cinema as it is on the racetrack.
Only 250 examples of the 998 Matrix were produced.

As said in the title, it's my titanium, I've been riding one for nearly 2 years now and I'm not too happy about it. Maintenance isn't cheap, but with a few good friends you can do things for very little money.
I went through the ducati 620 monstro then the 749 dark, the cbr 100 rr repsol from 2003 and the r1 from 2005 and my latest acquisition is the matrix.
So I've already heard the remark "ducati en vert" and yes, you either like it or you don't, but I personally love it... a matter of taste.
In any case, it's obvious that some people will come up to you for a chat, at least the purists, and take a photo - it happens.
but the main thing to look for is her engine, her heart, or rather her soul (which gives me the shivers every time I start her up). So yes, like all bella, she'll need seasoned maintenance for this tigress, but she's well worth it ^^.
