the Diavel Carbon's adaptation to Euro4 standards in 2017 is almost anecdotal when you consider its track record. Barely redesigned in 2015, the Diavel Carbon was already getting a little grooming in 2016. Subtle, dark, shadowy elegance: reworked rim design, ceramic-coated exhaust pipes (Zircotec), new seat upholstery, and red out. Ducati's signature color has all but disappeared. Gone are the red-tinted frame and stripes; black has taken over everything.

with the Diavel, Ducati has entered an unknown category: the roadster-power-cruiser. And this charismatic, overpowering, fun-to-drive creation is a true success story. The Diavel is visually and dynamically impressive. The standard version boasts a Superbike-derived twin with 162 hp, 240 mm rear gumshoe, huge 50 mm inverted fork, multiple electronic kickstands and a face that would calm the most rabid rottweiler. That may not be enough for some, and for them the 1200 Diavel Carbon exists.

to justify its name, the machine is equipped with carbon fiber parts: the front fender, tank and seat cover. Ducati enhances the dynamism of the Diavel by saving weight on two strategic elements: the rims. The superb forged aluminum Marchesini wheels save 2.5 kilos. Another highlight is the surface treatment that allows the aluminum to sparkle within the black rim.
more elaborate color schemes reinforce the premium feel. Of course, the Carbon benefits from all the improvements of the Diavel Phase II: bevelled exhausts, redesigned headlamp with daytime LED half-ring, raised handlebars, dual ignition for each bowl of the Testastretta 11° block and a little more torque, slight touch-ups for certain parts (sides, headlamp cover....) and an even more pronounced plumbness.
