If the boot fits, everything fits. Straighten up, weld up, flash the dashboard, let the twin express its growl, then the front wheel takes over to kiss the sky. Ducati'sHypermotard loves debauchery. Even to the point of showing it off with this RVE version. At once a trash-machine, a provocateur, an urban slap in the face.

At Borgo Panigale, we call this decoration 'Graffiti'. A Street Art inspiration whose dilettantism we were able to appreciate during the concept's exhibition at the Elegance competition at Villa d'Este 2019. There are no half-measures or hesitations: the dress is virtually identical between the show bike and the 950 HM RVE. The only differences are the numbers on the fork head and rear flanks.

With its shoulder-gnawing Hyper, 2/3 blood-red rims and red and black bits of anger running from bow to stern, this hypermot triggers adrenalin at first glance. The brand puts a lot of emphasis on the process and quality of manufacture, akin to airbrushing. Curiosity immediately sets in. It raises a number of questions, including the bike's capabilities. Does it also hide more virtues?

Yes, the shifter. The latest generation of shifting assistants, the Ducati Quick Shit Up&Down Evo, is fitted as standard. The 950 Hypermotard RVE offers no engine or chassis upgrades, but it's punchy enough to turn heads. Given the impertinence of this variant, we would have appreciated a pair of Termignoni as a bonus. But hey..
Drivers and stunters will be even more reluctant to behave. For even greater efficiency, you'll have to opt for the SP version.
