presentation of the 1190 RX 2014

Erik Buell was living a great adventure when his machines were vibrating with the passion of many enthusiasts. The crisis hit, the brand was dropped by Harley, and the 1125 R, XB-12 and other Ulysses disappeared. Was this the end of East Troy motorcycles?
No, because Erik rebuilt himself and created a new entity, under the effluvia of competition: E.B.R, for Erik Buell Racing. in 2014, this phoenix-like brand returned to the Old Continent with a sports bike, the 1190 RX.

historically, EBR launched with the development of the 1190 RS, a top-of-the-range sports car built on the remains of the Buell 1125 R. Now it's the 1190 RX's turn to defend the sportiness and spirit of its creator. Underneath a rather plain aesthetic, the RX boasts technical solutions found in no other brand. Innovations that first appeared during Buell's heyday: an aluminum perimeter frame with large cross-sections that doubles as a fuel tank, a single brake disc that is peripheral to the rim and exceptionally large (386 mm), and an 8-piston brake caliper. Take a look at the small ventilation ducts on this brake caliper.Erik Buell Racing 1190 RX 2014 Faithful to the twin, this Buell boasts a nice reserve of power. Its 1190 cm3 spit out 185 horsepower at 10,600 rpm. Just 10 less than a Ducati 1199 Panigale. That puts it among the most powerful machines on the market today, ahead of a Yamaha R1, Honda CBR 1000 or KTM RC8-R. The American is also well endowed with torque, with 14 mkg. Let's ignore its 190 kg, a good value, because the strengths of Buell products lie in the geometry and engineering of the chassis. Surprisingly efficient.
The 1190 RX also boasts a host of electronic solutions. There are no fewer than 21 traction control settings, necessary for calming the machine's more-than-substantial enthusiasm. ABS, however, has not been announced. An "oversight" that should soon be rectified, if only to comply with 2016 European standards.
