presentation of the 1584 ROCKER C FXCWC 2011

A new model? A new concept? A new genre??? ... it's hard to describe this Harley.
in any case, the Rocker can pride itself on launching an alternative current in custom motorcycling, namely...

Yes, I know, it doesn't mean a thing, but we have to admit that this custom bike gives the impression of having undergone solid customization:
a long fork topped by double handlebars integrating a good part of the wiring, a taut line from the tank assembly to the mono seat, and above all, the famous a long fork topped by double handlebars integrating much of the wiring , a taut line from tank to seat and, above all, the famous Hardtail system allowing the rear mudguard to be integral with the wheel, and a touch of modernism with the small LED light encompassing the turn signals. All these details add up to a beautiful whole.

this Harley could be the link between the hardcore biker and the Bc-bg riding for show. It has a classy air about it that doesn't prevent it from being instantly recognizable!
so, a mono saddle? But no, it hides a little emergency folding seat. I just can't bring myself to call these 10cm of foam a passenger seat! and yet, thanks to a clever and colossal articulated arm, they allow you, in a matter of seconds, to become a duo and take your probable new conquest with you to discover our "superb" roads.

the saddle culminates at 622 mm (the lowest in Harley's production), so getting on the beast is no problem at all! Nor does straightening the 300-odd kg thanks to the leverage provided by the two arms of the large handlebars.
Harley-Davidson 1584 ROCKER C FXCWC 2011the 1,584cc twin snorts to life with a deliberate crackling sound which, unfortunately, is not followed by a "Harley" sound, as the pots are particularly muffled.

the position of the feet and arms forward is not surprising on this type of machine, and the wide seat, aided by the rear suspension, provides more than satisfactory comfort. And that's even if the rear of the seat, raised in the mono position, is destructive to the lower back after a few kilometers.

shining brightly, this Harley still looks great!
roadholding is unsurprising: the bike is low and well-balanced, and the difference in cross-section between the front and rear tires has no influence on cornering. The Night Road, fitted with the same tires, seemed to me to be much more clumsy.

the torque available makes you want to shift into 6th gear as quickly as possible (indicated by a warning light on the speedometer) and take advantage of the 11.9m Kg of torque at 3,200rpm.

of course, as usual, the rhythm adopted with this machine remains rather cool, as the few possible angles don't leave much room for improvisation.
that's not the whole idea behind this bike either!

In conclusion :

It's hard to find any real faults with this Milwaukee production.
impeccable finish, top-of-the-range craftsmanship, well-balanced overall package - these are just a few of the words that describe this Rocker.

of course, the asking price is just as high as the rider you'd expect to find on this type of machine... 18.895 roro, aie
those with a grudge will point out that if Harley starts releasing pre-customized bikes, what will be left for users to do to get noticed?
i'm sure that future fans of this softail will be able to make it more their own!

French gold Model 2010
I've owned a 2010 ROCKER C since April
I've already driven it nearly 6,000 km
My average fuel consumption is + or - 6 liters per 100 km
This bike has very good acceleration. I've pushed it to over 180 km/h, without having the handle in the corner
It's also true that in some bends the little footpegs scrape the ground, but that's part of the joy of choppers
The ROCKER C has monstrous torque, and even in 6th gear it continues to accelerate
I ride it just as well on the freeway as on the back roads of the Belgian Ardennes, and even in the French and Swiss Alps
In a few words, I'm very happy to have bought the ROCKER C

Burn the rubber, not your soul
