the Twin Cam 88 B engine was quickly and successfully introduced throughout the Harley range. It appeared in 1999, the same year as this new tourer: the Road Glide. It sits right between the majestic Electra Glide and the more streamlined Road King. And the bike's got all the bells and whistles: big, hard cases, imposing forkhead, radio-cassette, cruise control, cigarette lighter (if you like your plans to go off without a hitch...).

This Glide pushes even further towards refinement, offering you (among other things) 2 pockets, an outside temperature gauge and pre-installation for an Intercom system. With the 1450 engine, the machine can cruise with complete peace of mind. It's comfortable to ride, and the life of the engine makes the journey a pleasure. Roadholding is decent, ground clearance acceptable, but it's best to ride senatorially on twisty roads. And as with any good Harley, there's no need to exceed legal speeds. The charm takes care of everything. The spirit that comes to us from the other side of the Atlantic is distilled with every stroke of the piston.

Small correction: the engine
twin cam 88 b (b for "balanced")
did not equip the entire range of big twins, only the softails
where the motor is rigidly mounted in the frame, and therefore fitted with a balancer to limit vibrations. It's worth noting that the new 107 and 114 motors are all equipped with a balancing beam, and the softails even have two! 09/13/2017 20:30 Rating : 5/5 Respond to 900 rpm

i've done the Corsican, the Creuse exterior, interior, wiggling, etc., if that's possible, but you really have to anticipate. I'm enjoying it and with the big bore stage 2, it's starting to kick ass; the racing brakes aren't quite there yet, but the floating calipers should be a welcome addition to the avia hoses.My road king classic is great; it's not an R1 (I've done quite a bit of track work) but my wife is delighted to ride 700 km in a weekend and I'm having a blast sending wood through the air with this machine, which isn't a solex after all, I admit

excellent stability if well inflated
fuel consumption for 2 people with luggage 5.5 to 6L at 130 on highway.excellent finish, remembering that this is an ELECTRA and not a bargain. Like it or not, it's a bike for guys with balls (380 kg) and even girls who know how to hold the handlebars, which isn't the case for many boys. I've been riding since 1982, I've had 11 bikes including jap's, I've ridden most of the time as a duo and loaded (luggage), 15 to 20,000 a year, for heavy riders HARLEY touring bikes are really super bikes, so motorcycle tests j. I'm wary, I don't like them. i'm wary, I'm not a sectarian, I love motorcycling, the road and the spirit of freedom, even if it's increasingly threatened by clowns who scare road users with their tr.. d. c... In terms of performance, even if it's not topical, 190 km/h with KN air filter, American KERKER pots, that's all.
