the Dyna Super Glide Sport arrived at the same time as Harley's new engine, the 1450 twin cam 88. And the American firm has designed a really good-looking machine. In black, it's reminiscent of a certain Sturgis from the early '90s. Superb to look at and a pleasure to ride, this Harley is a delight. This engine is a real success. It's faithful to the American manufacturer's architecture, and distills the pleasure you'd expect. What character, torque and flexibility! The Fathead has a real kick in the mid-range.

on the road, the FXDX's chassis doesn't disappoint. Okay, handling and weight aren't great. But roadholding never calls for criticism, and you can even indulge in a bit of sporty muscle.
For 2000, the bike gains a new, adjustable fork, comfortable suspension and excellent braking - perhaps too much so at the rear.
The Dyna Super Glide Sport has plenty of appeal. It's got a big mouth (and a nice one at that), and it's certainly the American that's best suited to our soil.

First Harley after 12 years on the road. I tried 1200s and 883s without conviction... And then this fxdx made me fall for it... with a few cosmetic elements, it has nothing to envy from more recent models, it pushes hard enough, it brakes well and the comfort is largely satisfactory, even in duet

X-JAJ Model 2005

I really like its low and mid-range torque, even if it sometimes lacks sixth gear. The lighting is a bit outdated and needs to be upgraded to LED. The timing pads are a constant worry. Braking is difficult to control, even with DOT 5.1
Maintenance is do-it-yourself if you have the right tools. Riding comfort is good for short and medium trips, but for trips of over 300 km, the buttocks suffer, not to mention those of the passenger. the top this machine, of true feelings and in mountain road a treat with good tires cobra. braking is effective and for my part it is a model touring with saddlebags, Sissi bar and bubble, a plus to escape without having a too cumbersome motor bike and with which one can have fun. torque, vibrations engine, resumptions all is good as in the pig. others will say that it is not a harley because chromes are rare and one gains in cleaning.... 11/13/2013 23:23 Rating : 4/5 Respond to yves

I've been riding it since 2004, and it's always a pleasure to ride. The only fault is that the front discs get bogged down quickly when you attack hard. the dyna sport is TERRIBLE TERRIBLE it's a bike that doesn't please everyone, "that's not a harley they say". but i love it. the people who own one certainly agree with me. what a shame not to find the fxdxi in the 2006 catalog with the six-speed gearbox
maybe the bikes will increase in value...

I've owned 42 motorcycles and two Harleys, a fat boy and a dyna sport, and I have to tell you that the dyna is a great bike with fabulous torque and good road holding. 60,000 km on it before it was stolen. It's probably the best Harley for the road, but for the highway, the Electra is more comfortable, and for the show, take a softail or a RoadKing. i've owned one for 6 months (it's my 1st HD & I used to ride an italian) ==> I can guarantee that: 1/ the engine is FA-BU-LEUX (torque, acceleration, noise) 2/ comfort + braking are very good 3/ as for the look, it's inimitable & timeless!!! a word of advice: try one (I know it's expensive & I broke my piggy bank) but you'll fall under its spell!!!
