the Dyna Super Glide Sport arrived at the same time as Harley's new engine, the 1450 twin cam 88. And the American firm has designed a really good-looking machine. In black, it's reminiscent of a certain Sturgis from the early '90s. Superb to look at and a pleasure to ride, this Harley is a delight. This engine is a real success. It's faithful to the American manufacturer's architecture, and distills the pleasure you'd expect. What character, torque and flexibility! The Fathead has a real kick in the mid-range.

on the road, the FXDX's chassis doesn't disappoint. Okay, handling and weight aren't great. But roadholding never calls for criticism, and you can even indulge in a bit of sporty muscle.
For 2000, the bike gains a new, adjustable fork, comfortable suspension and excellent braking - perhaps too much so at the rear.
The Dyna Super Glide Sport has plenty of appeal. It's got a big mouth (and a nice one at that), and it's certainly the American that's best suited to our soil.

First Harley after 12 years on the road. I tried 1200s and 883s without conviction... And then this fxdx made me fall for it... with a few cosmetic elements, it has nothing to envy from more recent models, it pushes hard enough, it brakes well and the comfort is largely satisfactory, even in duet
No worries about reliability in 1 year. I recommend it, especially as it's very affordable at the moment

I really like its low and mid-range torque, even if it sometimes lacks sixth gear. The lighting is a bit outdated and needs to be upgraded to LED. The timing pads are a constant worry. Braking is difficult to control, even with DOT 5.1
Maintenance is do-it-yourself if you have the right tools. Riding comfort is good for short and medium trips, but for trips of over 300 km, the buttocks suffer, not to mention those of the passenger. The rider's position also becomes very tiring beyond 300Km, and advanced controls or highway footrests are almost indispensable for tall people like me (1.88m).

the top this machine, of true feelings and in mountain road a treat with good tires cobra. braking is effective and for my part it is a model touring with saddlebags, Sissi bar and bubble, a plus to escape without having a too cumbersome motor bike and with which one can have fun. torque, vibrations engine, resumptions all is good as in the pig. others will say that it is not a harley because chromes are rare and one gains in cleaning.... Hi, I've had a 2001 Dyna FXDX for 5 years, before that I had an Electra, which was a good tourer, but too heavy, we always ride 2-up and the Dyna sport is very comfortable with the comfortable seat, easy to handle, a real bike, this machine is the best in the whole Harley range, not to mention the new fuel-injected ones, which look more like Japanese bikes than anything else. i also broke my piggy bank for a fxdx 2000 i had the pleasure of bringing her back by road 220 kms of orgasms in february in brittany i imagine in august my first bike was a 1000 fonte that i can in no way compare with the dyna stage 1. 2 different delusions. but since my purchase no more kms 2nd outing she was run over by a crazy woman who backed up without looking. 1 month without her already i promised to spend the first night with her come back quickly Rating : 5/5

60,000 km on it before it was stolen. It's probably the best Harley for the road, but for the highway, the Electra is more comfortable, and for the show, take a softail or a RoadKing. You need a less castrating pot, change the air filter and adjust the carburetion, and everything changes. It becomes a lot of fun... Rating : 5/5
