the Street Bob renews its Special Edition for 2016, with a very different taste from the previous opus. The Street Bob SE's cheeky side has mellowed. No more exciting paint, just striking black. The ape-hanger handlebars of the standard Street have disappeared. In its place, a drag-bike element and advanced foot controls (from the Sportster 72) greatly modify the riding position. It's time for a rebel's attitude, no longer the relaxed approach of a prowler (road-eur?).
No longer quite standard and not yet C.V.O., the Street Bob is more desirable in this special edition. And with good reason: it draws its inspiration from Harley's Factory Customization program, with some very attractive effects. Gone are the spoked wheels, replaced by Split Five aluminum wheels with 5 split spokes machined into diamond shapes. The machine forgets selfishness, adopting a Badlander two-seater seat. The Street Bob SE plays on styling elements with a tank, advanced controls, risers and handlebars from the Fat Bob, as well as a truncated rear mudguard.

beneath the stripped-down look of a hard-charging Bobber, the Street Bob belches out steel and twin-cylinder slaps with its big, fat 45° twin. The block on this Dyna FXDBB develops 76 hp at 5250 rpm. Torque peaks at 13.4 mkg at 3,000 rpm. The machine also takes on a few kilos, but is that really important when you're talking about 304 wet units?

It's magnificent, the future CVO as you call it, we'll just have to increase the size of the rear tire to get there ;))
on the other hand, it replaces the 2014 special edition (the two-tone one that already set the tone) and not the 2012, so it looks like the next one will be for 2019... Rating : 5/5

excellent riding with lightness in the corners and aggressiveness in recovery;

You have to buy this bike for what it is, and more importantly, what it's not. Let's start with the negatives: an ignominious tapping, just satisfactory handling (panic in the rain) and decent braking (which I'm told is excellent for an HD)..the positives: an engine you fall in love with immediately, the impression of riding an ancestor with sensation at every level. In short, you love it for its faults and its qualities, but if I had to choose between my BMW GS and this one, I'd have to go with my gut (the German one), and as long as I can keep both, it's pure bliss! This Street Bob is called FXDBB and not FXDBA.
The advanced controls, risers and handlebars come from the FATBOB...
And I can confirm that it's a very nice machine ....
