Motorcycle specifications Harley-Davidson1690 ROAD KING CLASSIC FLHRCI 2016 The great American West
presentation of the 1690 ROAD KING CLASSIC FLHRCI 2016
crossing roads, journeys, landscapes and long distances on a Harley. TheElectra Glide comes naturally to mind. A little taste of nostalgia, a desire for retro, the feeling that time has forgotten to march on, and the Road King naturally comes into play. Two interpretations for the same purpose - fairing and hard cases on one side; windscreen and leather panniers on the other. A custom cut from American nobility, designed to go as far as the wind can blow. Now it's taking advantage of the Rushmore project to optimize the road experience.
rushmore is the result of H-D listening to its customers and dealers. They want more practicality, more comfort, more power. The Road King's twin-cylinder engine benefits from a number of improvements, including a new camshaft. Renamed Twin Cam 103 High Output, the big mill is supposed to develop 5% more torque. At maximum, its value is 14 mkg at just 3,500 rpm. The airbox improves the style and breathing of the 1,690 cm3.
like all models in the Touring range, the Road King is equipped with the Reflex braking system. Combined with ABS, it automatically balances braking power between front and rear. This is not the only effort Harley has made to improve the dynamism of this machine: the fork has increased in diameter from 43 to 49 mm. The suspension has been readjusted for greater smoothness.
Lighting is now provided by a dual-halogen system delivering 986 lumens. On the practical side, there's a set of quick-release fasteners for easy opening of the panniers - convenient, but not very quality, these plastic clips underneath beautiful leather straps. Also with comfort in mind, new, more ergonomic controls have been installed on the handlebars.
armed with these improvements, the Road King Classic is a real escape. The saddlebags, a little larger with the Rushmore evocation, allow you to carry all the essentials. The large, removable windshield lets you choose in an instant between the caress of the air or the tranquility of the countryside. Air suspension is standard, allowing you to adapt the suspension to the load on board. Also standard: cruise control, long running boards, a dual-spoke shifter, 16-inch spoked wheels with whitewall tires, and big American metal everywhere. Now look at that bike again: don't you want to show it every state in the West?

It's a pity that Harley has done away with the classic Road King models with the new engine

Is this HD-FLHR 2016 model A2 eligible and if so are there many constraints on driving?
Best regards Rating : 5/5 Respond to Sébastien
A young biker is bound to crash, it's almost systematic.
So a 350kg motorcycle is not a toy for getting used to. A sportster to get started, and even then, because braking isn't reassuring, especially in town, and the original fitting is a pain... except for the roadster.
