presentation of the CVO 1800 PRO STREET BREAKOUT FXSE 2017
The Breakout has earned a fine reputation since its release. It's not lacking in charisma. Now it wants to regain its early flamboyance, when it was born under the aristocracy of the CVO. And here it is, more striking than ever, becoming the Pro Street Breakout. More muscular, more tenebrous, straight from the clutches of a demon, the machine looks Mephistophelean.
dark and luxurious, with appendages that make it even more combative. The Pro Street Breakout bites into its territory with its minimalist fork head and short engine block. The Agressor wheels with their burnished chrome finish are sure to arouse the curiosity of enthusiasts, who will not only have this pretext to showcase the work of the Custom Vehicle Operations workshops. But before delving into the luxury of this Harley, let's turn our attention to its front end. The Pro Street reinforces the Breakout's bow with a 43 mm inverted fork held in place by new tees, the lower one featuring 3 clamping points.
a CVO is all about big style and a big engine. The year 2017 is a milestone in this respect: the Milwaukee Eight is available in a Scream'in Eagle version with 1870 cm3. Alas, the Pro Street Breakout is the only CVO not to benefit. That task falls to the Twin Cam 110B Screamin' Eagle, whose connecting rods are more than up to the job, with 1801 cm3 of fat and metal. Here, in its balanced version, the American block pushes with 16.8 mkg of maximum torque at 3500 rpm. In other words, it delivers almost 2 mkg more than the standard TC 103-powered Breakout.
Don't just look at these figures... Get up close. Appreciate the finish. Taste the CVO workmanship. An unprecedented smoky satin chrome finish is applied to the exhausts, rocker rods, cylinder heads and speedo trim.
after rolling off the assembly line in Milwaukee, the Pro Street Breakout passes into the hands of experts who will give it even more nobility and justify its demanding price tag. It is distinguished by its high-quality paintwork. The rider grabs a Drag handlebar with a smoky satin finish, the eyes are drawn away from the night with a multi-LED headlamp, and the butt discovers a saddle inspired by speed racing circuits. The MoCo communications department knows how to flatter the ego, but it doesn't have the same vision of sporting arenas as we do - between the vibrators, the saddles are nothing more than bits of foam as thick as slices of sandwich bread. American inspiration goes beyond purely Cartesian manifestations. We get lost, and risk missing the running boards, shifter anchorage, brake pedal and grips from the Airflow collection.
Like all CVOs, the 1800 Pro Street Breakout is produced in a limited edition. It requires 6,000 euros more than the Breakout, the price of becoming the master of a deep, urban creature.
