The Fat Bob has always been the pirate of the Harley range. A rebel, a right-hook eater, a Talisker stomper for those fond of provocation. A character trait that now extends to the entire model, from the bottom of the connecting rods to the end of the frame.
Because everything has changed: engine, chassis, silhouette! The Fat Bob is not what it used to be; it expresses more, and punches its detractors in the face.

Let's start with THE shock of this new Bob. It's no longer a Dyna, but a Softail. It's a completely new generation, swapping its dual side-shock frame for the new deceptively rigid one. Does it betray its culture? Not really, as its surly spirit remains. And by taking over the new Softail frame, it benefits from seriously increased rigidity. Not to mention another major improvement in damping. Like the rest of the Softail range, it features a new, more efficient shock absorber under the seat, with a practical adjustment knob just behind the right calf.
From the front, the Softail Fat Bob threatens, and not just a little. Courage seems to be required to grasp its front drivetrain. The inverted fork is a guarantee of efficiency and rigor, holding a sturdy front rim shod with a 150 mm wide tire. With a nice set of brake discs and a truncated mudguard, the wheel feels like a single unit, ready to crush cinder blocks and sneakers.
this major evolution is accompanied by a drastic weight loss. 15 kilos have been shed in the process.

threatening, yes. Nothing could better describe this new chapter of the Fat Bob. Its design has been totally reworked. More compact, stockier even, it looks like it's just come back from a wrestling match... with sociopathic bears. Since the previous model, the rear mudguard has been cut in half, the saddle has grown in size, the fuel tank has been tightened, the exhaust line has become ostentatious, and the offensive look has shifted to a robotic stance. It's a handsome LED segway, almost terrifyingly bold for a MoCO model. It's so bold, you'd think it was stolen from a Japanese car. The Fat Bob is no longer the mischievous motorcycle of the range, it's a savage in search of a fight, with one of the most striking designs in the brand's modern history. It shakes things up, and they'll love it for it.

A mouthful, strong, taut, must have the muscle bandaged and worthy of its ilk. The Milwaukee Eight is the perfect answer. In our opinion, the 114 version is the one that best suits it. The Fat Bob is available with two versions of the big twin. Standard with the 107 and its 1745 cm3, offering almost 14.8 mkg of torque; or optional with 123 cm3 and 1 mkg more. Full of trunk space, calming its vibrations at idle, and tinged with modernism with its 2 spark plugs and 4 valves per cylinder, the M8 engine has not forgotten its fundamentals, with a very American depth of operation, dug out of Wisconsin fever.
