The 2018 model year makes this Road Glide a little more special. The look, the spirit and the vision don't change much, but there are a few elements that place it in the darker clan. It starts with a pair of 'Talon' wheels, 19 and 18 inches. The saddlebags are stretched at the bottom, visually bevelling the exhausts and making the stern more receding - a design trait that appeared recently with the Road King Special. A whole series of chromes have disappeared, to blend into the black: the engine guard, fork tubes, handlebars and controls, mirrors, indicators, tank console, engine covers, air filter cover and exhaust baffles. A more aggressive echo, for a Touring that makes no secret of its ambitions.

After tempting travelers with a CVO version and then in a more affordable declination, the Road Glide took another step forward in 2017 with the grafting of a heart full of displacement, twice as many valves as usual and a nice dose of evolution: the Milwaukee Eight. Back on the French market with the same impetus as the Rushmore project, the Road Glide is now available in a version called Special. Why Special? For its carefully added equipment. Starting with the BOOM Box 6.5 GT multimedia console, the best Harley has to offer, with GPS, 6.5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, USB, 25 watts per channel, voice recognition system, etc... Enough to keep you entertained if you feel like listening to something other than the big American twin. And yet, isn't it partly this engine that guided you in your choice? The version chosen for the Road Glide is the air-cooled M8. With more displacement than the Twin Cam 103, better breathing, 8 valves, 4 spark plugs, and many other improvements, this engine offers more watts and above all an impressive 15.2 mkg of torque at 5250 rpm.
