the Tri Glide Ultra is no longer alone on the "factory" trike market. It's been joined by a sibling, but in a much wilder way. If the Tri Glide Ultra smells of pleasure, the Freewheeler smells of hot rod. A much lighter machine in every respect: sleeker lines, 57 kilos less weight, and a price cut of almost 7,000 euros. The two machines are distinguished by their two-wheel rear axles, but their vision of the road is markedly different.

Like its predecessor, the Freewheeler is powered by a Milwaukee Eight twin. The cylinder heads aren't liquid-cooled, but the essentials are there: large cubic capacity, 4 valves and 2 spark plugs for each cylinder, plenty of power and torque. In 2019, this'hybrid' machine is enjoying some good graces from MoCO. Engine-wise, it goes up a notch with the 114 ci version. All the figures go up: 1,868 cm3 of metal eating up 16.2 mkg of torque. To cope with all this, the trike has until now been equipped with the'Reflex' interconnected brake system, including ABS, a traction control system (TCS), a torque control system (DSCS) and connected front/rear braking. All this is taken to the next level with Trike-specific RDRS with :
- Enhanced Electronic Cornering Braking System (C-ELB)
- Enhanced cornering ABS braking system (C-ABS)
- Cornering Traction Control System (C-TCS)
- Cornering Residual Torque Control System (C-DSCS).

handling is enhanced by the efficiency of Premium suspensions taken from the Touring range, and the ease of preload adjustment. In addition to the ability to "turn flat out", the Freewheeler allows B license holders to experience a whole new range of sensations. Hair and teeth in the wind, hands gripping the Mini-Apehanger handlebars and the pulse of the American twin. It's easy to imagine a duo, and the trunk is just the thing. It holds two helmets. Available for several years in the States, the machine arrived in France at the same time as the M8 engine. They're sure to stand out from the crowd, and bring a different view of the road to those who ride them.
