presentation of the VR6 Silver Edition 2016
Horex made its mark in the mid-twentieth century; its revival was equally remarkable. It was its engine that attracted all the attention, with a spectacular VR6 design. After a few setbacks, its takeover by 3C Carbon gave it a new lease of life and even more upmarket ambitions. The Silver Edition is a perfect illustration of this, proving to be rare, precious and outrageous.
the German made an immediate impact. When the time came to target a financially well-off public, it set its conditions. 33 copies, no more, and noble materials throughout. Demand was so great that the company selected future buyers by lottery. The result was a particularly hefty price tag: 64,500 euros for this roadster of a different kind. Three times the price of the standard model.

But where the Silver Edition stands out is in its choice of parts and slimming down. From the base model, the weight has dropped by almost 30 kilos to 221 kilos dry weight. The addition of carbon parts (shorter rear buckle, rear mudguard, dashboard cap) plays a major part in this diet.
high-quality components add even more value to this Horex. These include the 43 mm Öhlins inverted fork and TTX36 shock absorber from the same manufacturer, Brembo CNC GP4-RX brake calipers, Kineo spoke wheels, leather saddle, TFT color instrumentation.... before dwelling a little on the polished fuel tank, the admirable stainless-steel double exhaust, the machined parts, the multi-lens headlight and the attention to detail! The Horex VR6 Silver Edition takes its place in the nobility of roadsters, with unreason and exaltation.
