Last year, Indian launched a very special limited edition of its Chief Vintage, associated with one of the world's most famous whisky brands. Just a few examples to celebrate 150 years of Jack Daniel's. The counter seemed to enjoy the tour, as a new series appeared. This time, it's the Chieftain in the spotlight.
The American long-cruiser is not as exuberant as a Victory Magnum. It's more about presence, patina and the depth of a taste. Like this multi-tone painting, alternating white crystal with charcoal effluvia, like that used to filter the amber spirit from the American distillery. There's also a series of custom badges, such as personalized pilot and passenger footrests, a leather pouch and aluminum console on the tank, engraved covers around the engine, a 19-inch front wheel and a 200-watt audio system with speakers in the fork head and panniers.
With a touch of prestige and tradition, each bike will come with a commemorative American flag, handcrafted from the wood of Jack Daniel's barrels, as well as a personalized plate with the owner's name, the bike number (n° 001 to n° 100) and its V.I.N. code (vehicle identification number).
Indian is planning 100 examples of this model, including 10 for the middle of the globe. Each of the following countries - Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Benelux, UK, Finland, South Africa, Spain - will be allocated a copy. What about France? Come on, a brand of alcohol on a motorcycle... Let's not forget that there's a law against alcohol advertising in the land of the world's finest wines and spirits. As a result, this Indian is banned from entering the country.
