Quite simply because the manufacturer is paying for another round of... special series. This time, it's the Scout Bobber that's been emblazoned with the American whisky.

For the 3rd year running, an Indian model is available under the name of the oldest distillery in the States. The Chief Vintage opened the bar, the Chieftain relaunched it, and the Scout is the toast. Dark and elegant, it is much more discreet than previous editions. But its darker side highlights its gold inserts. And it's not just the color: the graphics on the tank and mudguards are in 24-carat gold.
To create this "black & gold" decor, Indian entrusted the job to Klock Werks Kustom Cycles. The company drew its inspiration from the Jack Daniel's fire department - indeed, the distillery has its own response team.

A design, a name, an aftertaste of bourbon; the Indian crosses appetites with a little more than that. Firstly, Jack Daniel's comes with a few special parts. These include footpeg ends stamped with the n°7, a silk-screen print on the seat, a gold badge bearing the serial number affixed to the rear of the frame, specific brake and clutch levers and a gloss finish on the end of the exhausts.

Secondly, let's talk sales. And we're getting into an area almost identical to that of a star. Indian made just 177 examples. In other words, there won't be enough to go around. Distribution will be mainly for the United States and Canada, with a few for Europe, and nothing for France. The Indian Scout Bobber "Jack" bears the name of an alcoholic beverage on its body, making it persona non grata in the land of Ricard, Chartreuse and Champagne.

The bike is advertised for $15,999 in the USA. Each Jack Daniel's Bobber Scout will be accompanied by an authentic fireman's axe with a wooden handle. The tool will be engraved with the owner's name, motorcycle number (# 001- # 177) and vehicle identification number (VIN). The Jack Daniel's® Fire Brigade logo is also featured on the axe head.
