presentation of the Ninja 1000 ZX-10RR Winter Test Edition 2024
For quite a few years now, World Superbike pre-season testing has been dubbed the "Winter Test". The machines of this period don't yet have their official colors for the coming campaign. The carbon skin then appears without artifice, except for the occasional goodie.
Kawasaki has taken to the game and is releasing a very limited series of its ZX-10RR in the same livery as the factory Superbike.
The Winter Test 2024 is not as black as the bikes from previous seasons. A few commas of grey, yellow eyelashes and the presence of the Kawasaki Racing Team's main sponsors acidify the taciturn fairing. And don't forget the symbolic snowflake, found in several places on the machine.
To get things right, the 25 ZX-10RR Winter Test replicas will be prepared by the technical department of the official Kawa WSBK team. In addition to the deco, they will receive an emblem on the tank with its serial number, a matching seat cover, a certificate stipulating its limited edition and an Akrapovic silencer.
With this titanium and carbon cigar, the ZX-10RR loses 700 grams and modulates its power and torque curves just a little (up to half a horsepower and 0.6 Nm more at 11,300 rpm). The sound will be more convincing than the gain in performance.
And that's not all. Kawasaki will offer each purchaser a VIP pass for two, valid for a 2024 round of their choice in the Superbike championship. This will give them
- full access to the paddock
- access to the Kawasaki Racing Team hospitality area
- access to the Boxes
- priority access for driver autographs
- a guided tour of the team box
It's not often that you see a replica winter test. The last one from Kawasaki dates back to 2016. Ducati dresses up its Panigale V4 and Streetfighter V4 SP / SP2 under the same label. That's about it.
A very limited number of these ZX-10RRs will be sold only in France, Italy and Spain. France will be entitled to 10 examples; 5 will go to Italy.
