as is always the case in a class, there's someone who wants to stand out from the crowd, to show off, to cruise his own way. For the VN 900 back-to-school season, all was going well until the little stowaway Special Edition showed everyone his shoes. Yet it had nothing more or less than the series in terms of technology, engine or performance. But when he rides, everyone notices his whitewall tires. A vintage touch that suits it well, coupled with a few graphic elements on the mudguards and fuel tank. This touch of originality is powered by a 903 cm3 twin developing 54 hp, with belt drive. Spoked rims, a generous size and plenty of chrome accentuate the show-off.

A good machine, but twenty or so extra horsepower wouldn't go amiss. Minimalist, poorly placed speedometer and indicator lights. Rating : 3/5

Hi, happy owner of a VN 900 Classic special edition from 2012, I can only praise it...pretty (very), smooth sound, easy to get to grips with, comfortable and natural riding position, torquey etc. Its only flaw (typical of custom bikes) is that it lets the rider struggle against the wind at high speed. But then, it's a custom bike, not a super sports bike! Rating : 5/5

To dress it up in its own way, this VN is very docile. But you don't have to look only to Kawa. I'd go so far as to say that accessories are reduced to a minimum and are all the same...for everyone! No steering damper assembly, overpriced passenger platforms, no spring-loaded saddle, no removable saddlebags, and on and on and on... All in all, a good bike with a certain charisma. A little too American for my taste. I'd have preferred it to be more on the European side. Low on fuel consumption (4.2L/100Kms), with a real motorcycle song (not a howl!), it's reassuring to ride. It's beautiful, almost alive. It's a motorcycle/mountain bike that you take such good care of, because you love it so much. This is NOT a fake Harley Davidson, but a REAL Kawasaki! Let's face it. Rating : 4/5

It's a beautiful bike, but the two-tone paint is, in fact, a kind of brittle matte icing sugar that's just waiting to peel off at the slightest hitch, and it's quite thick. A real paint job would have been better. As for the beast's flexibility, it's really lacking, and it's hard on the back when going over speed bumps and other potholes. Otherwise, it's super nice and has a lovely sweet sound. Rating : 4/5

Hi, I'm off to my dealer tomorrow to order this model and have it fitted with a sissy bar, windscreen and saddlebags.
On condition that he takes back my Moto Guzzi Bréva 750, which is in perfect condition and the ideal bike to get used to.
