presentation of the VULCAN 1700 Nomad 2015

for custom, cruising and large-displacement enthusiasts, the VN 1700 Tourer is the latest addition to the Kawa range. Replacing the 1600 Tourer, this Jumbo Jet fits right in between the late VN Classic and Vulcan Voyager. A small detail that appeared in 2015: Kawa custom bikes are no longer called VNs, but instead take on the American Vulcan name. And here, the first name is no longer 'Tourer' but 'Nomad'.

Kawasaki VULCAN 1700 Nomad 2015 - 1Kawasaki VULCAN 1700 Nomad 2015 - 1

with its big 1700 cc twin, the VN... sorry, Vulcan, knows how to attract the eye and attention of enthusiasts. This Nomad version is predisposed to beautiful escapades in duo with the adequate comfort: rigid side cases, large windshield, cruise control, double set of footboards as big as meal trays, and sissy-bar of good dimension for the Madam's back. A fine beast for fine weekends, without wavering towards the exuberance of the Vulcan Voyager, even more equipped and overflowing, and more suited to long-haul trips. Compared to the VN 1600 Tourer, the 1700 has a new chassis, a new engine, a new 6-speed gearbox, and increased torque and power. It's a remarkable vehicle, and we can't help but agree with its superb two-tone color scheme.

I own a Vulcan 1700 bought new in 2016. The Kawasaki dealer in Carcassonne made a very nice commercial gesture by taking back my VN 900 and especially by offering me the travel top case and additional headlights
Splendid bike with a great look. Comfort and safety are the two words that come to mind. Excellent tourer on all kinds of roads. I recommend it.

Hello,
This bike would be at its best if it had a hundred nags. Because even with a three-way air intake instead of two, a KN power commander V filter and a cobra trioval exhaust, it's still a bit small

Suite à mon voyage en Espagne....
Hello everyone,
Following my trip to Spain, I'm still amazed at the efficiency, reliability, comfort and beauty of the bike. Even my wife is surprised that I didn't ride it for 4,000 km in 1 1/2 weeks! For your information, I've changed the filter, the 3-way and the pot. It changes everything and the bike is much more responsive. It has nothing to envy of the Harleys and quite the contrary...I recommend it to you and for your love trips with your lady who will be delighted.
Good riding to you all.

Hello

Super bike, just that it lacks a little power the 73 hp is a little soft in 6th gear at the recovery...

AUTREMENT facile a conduire sur route (même de montagne) et autoroute,très confortable grande bulle.....

I had the chance to see it for real at the Narbonne motorcycle show... Announced at around 14,500€ (its big sister miss "voyager" will be at 18,000€) it's as good as a Harley Davidson Road King. A few items have changed for the worse since the Tourer 1600... These include the rather fragile cases (I own a 1600 tourer) and other plastic covers, but on the other hand, they rust much less! A plus, on the other hand, is the maintenance-free belt drive, with no loss of engine output power! In fact, they took a Harley and kept only the good and replaced the minuses with the best. If, like me, you prefer to "ride" your cheap Japanese copy, rather than show off your expensive American original, go for the better... Kawasaki is at the top. Rating : 5/5
