presentation of the Z H2 Performance 2020
With its H2 transmutation, the Z has joined the clan of over-activated hyper-roadsters. A monster, a reservoir of power that will knock your teeth out at mid-range and the rest of your jaw out at the top of the rev counter. Perhaps the most interesting machine in the H2 family. Less exclusive and more comfortable than thesporty H2, less heavy and more versatile than the H2 SX, it appeals to a wider but still very discerning clientele.
Such a fighter could not be excluded from the Performance package. Its pedigree almost gives it lineage. and then, from the Z 125to the Z 1000 R, the whole clan subscribes. The verve begins with a good-sized Akrapovic muffler. You've got to get out that impressive 200-horsepower blast. Mostly made of titanium, with a carbon mouthpiece and thermal protection, the Slovenian element is laser-engraved with the rider's name. The gain in power is not very significant, but in weight, it's another matter. More than 3 kilos are saved compared to the standard exhaust. The real bonus is in vocal expression, which is far more significant.
The Z H2 Performance also gets a tank protector, a seat cover (for styling) and a windscreen. The latter offers 5 cm of plexiglass both high and on the sides to deflect a few moments of air. But that's not what's going to take the pressure off your neck at around 280 kph. It will ease the pressure a little, while a big one turbines through the airbox.
As the only supercharged roadster on the market, the Z H2 has plenty to feed your fantasies while keeping your fears at bay. It is equipped with a shifter, inertial unit, traction control, 2 power modes, ABS, KIBS intelligent braking, KCMF electronic cornering management, launch control, cruise control, tubular steel trellis frame, Showa SFF-BP upside-down forks and Brembo M4.32 brake calipers with 320 mm track bite.
In the Perfomance edition, the beast has everything it takes to show its allegiance, growl when it wants to, seize speed and get very nasty when it needs to. As with any high-caliber machine, access comes at a price. Here, it's twice the price of a Z 900. But compared to the Streetfighter V4 or the MV-Agusta Brutale 1000 RR, the Z H2 is in a class of its own.
