from 2001 to 2019Ducati Monster with big watts.
it all began with the Monster S4. Ducati's roadster was already available in several displacements (400, 600, 750 and 900) when Ducati came up with the idea of a much stronger Monster. If you're going to go wild, you might as well give it the engine from the sultry 916 sports bike. With its cavernous 4-valve, liquid-cooled twin and 101 hp, the beast from Bologna rumbles and kicks out some serious gas.
The recipe worked, and the monster-SBK settled into the range for a long time to come. 2 years later, the S4R takes over with the 996 engine. The bike's charisma was greatly enhanced by the presence of a single-arm, 2 raised and superimposed pots, and a dozen extra horsepower. The bidding was on.
It all comes to fruition with the Monster S4Rs, equipped with Öhlins suspension and the 999's engine - giving it 130 horsepower. The S4 reached its pinnacle, but then had to make way for the Streetfighter, even sportier and more powerful, with a different design.
but the Monster hasn't said its last word. He let the Streetfighter's time pass, then returned to the fray with the 1200 Monster R. Heavy stuff! By appropriating the 1198 sports bike's block, it boasts 160 hp and over 13 mkg. Always supensu Öhlins, it also features Brembo M50 evo brakes. Once again, the most exceptional Monster will have to step aside in favor of the Streetfighter V4.
