presentation of the 125 Black / British Seven 2025
Since its beginnings, Mash has chosen the retro arena to carve out a place for itself in the motorcycle galaxy. The Seventy launched the brand's success, proving that it was also the right choice with its vintage-style 125s. The range underwent a plethora of variations until the big clean-up in 2021. One of the few survivors is the Seven. BLACK Seven! Or BRITISH Seven, depending on how you look at it.
It's a very clever trick. Depending on whether its color is green or black, the machine changes its first name. It's envy only smiles, and is more interested in the search for more rebellious souls, with an undisguised perfume of the suburbs of England.
the little English flag on the airbox cover marks his inclinations. The chic elements continue the illusion. Spoked rims, tapered pot, a few touches of chrome, a metal front mudguard and a long, flared seat; all under a layer of styling that's a little more aggressive than the Seventy. And, coincidentally, in the same vein as a certain Orcal Astor. The Mash has since been overtaken by other rivals, but it's still going strong.
no inverted forks for the Seven, but plenty of character. With an all-black package: headlight cladding, fork sleeves, protective gaiters, brake calipers, wheel rims, fork crown - only the tank and center panels can vary and set the tone; English or Sirius.
This Mash seems to want to emerge from the London fog, with its British face, French accent and Chinese origins. The engine has other concerns. It's time to move up to Euro5, and make its mark even further.

On the other hand, a modern engine is heavier and more expensive... The bike climbs to 137 kilos in running order.
the Black Seven made do with combined braking. As it evolves on the engine side, it also gets ABS to supervise the 2-piston front caliper biting its 300 mm disc and the 220 mm rear disc.
A new, redesigned speedometer unit sits above the headlight. Still featuring a double dial with hands, it looks much more elegant and polished. It also gains a small digital window and a gear indicator.
The Seven retains its little refinements. As evidenced by the center stand, removable stainless steel pot, LED taillight, Fat Bar handlebars and Monza-style cap.
Surely the most mature 125 in the range. Enough to keep the public coming back without tipping over into pretentiousness.

¨As for quality, it's nothing like the mash bikes of years past
overall build quality is good without being exceptional
i did have one problem with the water pump, however, due to a forgotten engine breather cap during assembly
but everything was taken care of under warranty by mash without a hitch
1.90 seems to me to be the maximum size for this kind of bike, given the shape of the tank Rating : 5/5 Respond to DLmoto
