presentation of the 1400 MGX-21 Flying Fortress 2019

The 1400 California is transformed into a Bagger and becomes the MGX-21. What a bagger! And what style! Up close and personal, Guzzi makes an instant impression. As was the case when the prototype was presented at EICMA 2014. This time, there's no hesitation and the machine will bombard the Harley and Indian positions. And when it comes to impact, the "Flying Fortress" hits the nail on the head.

you can't just... No, it's impossible to remain impassive in front of this imposing creature. Flanked by a black paint job that would give a creature of the night a run for its money, the Guzzi slaps you in the face with its brake calipers and, above all, its red-painted aluminum cylinder head covers. The curves are superb, the stance fearsome, the fork head exceptionally well crafted. An airplane and bat profile highlighted by a bubble whose curves hug the dual speedometer. Unique, irresistible, worthy of craftsmanship. The MGX-21 is also all about carbon, with parts on both sides of the bike: front mudguards, tank panels, injection system covers, engine skid plates, huge pannier covers, rear side skirts... and right down to the 21-inch front wheel. A large carbon disc sits in the middle of the rim, surrounded by brake tracks and Brembo brake shoes with radially mounted pistons.

long and menacing, the Moto-Guzzi MGX-21 is based on the 1400 California, both in terms of engine and electronics. The big twin, with its timeless and intrinsic architecture, has been adapted to meet Euro4 standards. Even if modernity and comfort have taken some of the character out of it, this block boasts majestic strength and commendable docility. Its 1380 cm3 and torque in excess of 12 mkg can lift you off your feet without hesitation or dragging. Your driving experience depends on your choice of fuel injection mapping, ABS, traction control and cruise control.
The on-board equipment includes two meter blocks with different functions. Two needle dials are responsible for engine speed and rpm, while two digital keypads take care of infotainment - including stereo, Bluetooth, intercom and MG-MP multimedia platform. The audio equipment augurs long hours on the road, and plenty of room to get noticed... if that were possible.

Moto-Guzzi 1400 MGX-21 Flying Fortress 2019 - 1Moto-Guzzi 1400 MGX-21 Flying Fortress 2019 - 1

a mix of bagger and showcase, the MGX-21 defines a very personal version of light, ostentatious custom touring. Deep, powerful and striking, this machine is sure to turn heads. However, the price and special features of this "mass-produced creation" will limit it to a highly targeted audience of discerning enthusiasts. In preview, an undeniable class ahead of Rome, Los Angeles, Paris, Bruce Wayne's cellar or the nooks and crannies of Sin City.

moto guzzi mgx21
French Model 2019
i've owned one for 1 year now and I don't regret having bought it. It's a very high quality motorcycle, the showcase of Moto Guzzi's technology and know-how, very pleasant to ride despite its weight and has nothing to envy the competition Rating : 5/5
French loren Model 2016
"flying fortress"! what a con....ie
What we want is a "le mans" or a p....n GUZZI roadster. Not this nonsense, it's ugly, horrible, expensive, heavy, no interest ... Harley does it very well already
When you see what BMW is doing, Triumph....it's a pain in the ass to see that!
Chui colère, j'adore cette marque!

Moto-Guzzi is back !!! ;o)
French Jicé60 Model 2016
At last!!! ;o)
Piaggio's big boss Colanno told us back in 2011 at the 90th Anniversary GMG that Moto-Guzzi, Lombardy's "sleeping beauty", would be back in the spotlight, and not just to make up the numbers. After the Bellagio, the Griso and the Stelvio 1200, this Flying Fortress is the perfect illustration.
A little effort to get us out of the "Norge 2" "Bellagio 2" and "Stelvio 2" would be most welcome...
Thank you for all the "innamorati" of the almost century-old Mandello del Lario brand, twice winner of the Isle of Man TT in 1935, 15 times world champion in G.P. from ~1925 to 1957. Ca cause !!!
