presentation of the 750 V7 III Milano 2019

Moto-Guzzi presents its V7 III Milano as a bike for strolling through the city center. Milan? It's true, the machine seems well suited to this purpose. It's small, unobtrusive, the opposite of the fury of streetfighters, and has a gentle patina of grey. In short, we're playing bucolic.

The name is pretty, but Guzzi didn't make much of an effort to create this umpteenth version of the V7 III. Dual-meter instrumentation, chrome exhausts, passenger handgrip, seat with old-school stitching... Everything is taken from the Special - the 'classy' version of the V7. To create the Milano, the manufacturer installed the Stone's spoked wheels, fitted the Racer's airbox side plates, then applied a gray color. A rather meagre endowment, especially for strolling around a fashion capital.

However, this doesn't detract from the gentle charm of the mechanics, which are regularly modernized while retaining their choices from another era. For fans of retro or mechanical styling, the fin-cooled side-mounted cylinder heads are still in full effect. Fifty or so horsepower make for a quiet ride, and character does the rest.

French Mersenne Model 2018
Owner of a V7 Milano since May 2018. Beautiful machine, light, looks like a motorcycle and offers a comfortable range, with character for a modern.Obviously much less than my Norton or my T140 with which I ride for 45 years, but still a nice sound with Agostini exhausts.15000 km on the odometer, some oil seepage without consequences, it's a Guzzi. Rating : 4/5
