With the Bonneville 865 overshadowed by the arrival of the 1200 cm3 T120, it was only to be expected that it would disappear from the catalog in the medium term. So, was the Street Twin going to stand alone in the bastion of medium-displacement revival? No, since 2017 it has been backed up by the Bonneville T100, this time in the 900cc class.

the "little" Bonnie perpetuates the spirit and style of the original 1959 model. It leaves it to the T120 to offer more torque, more luxury, and the price that goes with it. Its trick is to be more accessible, both financially and mechanically. Not everyone wants a big twin; you can legitimately appreciate reasonable power, where the right wrist can be lively without fear of overflow. Or you can simply take it easy.

here, it's the recent 900 cm3 parallel-twin engine, direct from theex-Street Twin. Slightly more displacement than the previous unit, quite a few less horsepower (to mark the difference with the 1200), but a lot more torque obtained much sooner. A maximum of 8.2 mkg is obtained just above 3,000 rpm. With the previous 865 cm3 block, we were only entitled to 7.1 mkg, which had to be sought at around 6,000 rpm. With this "High Torque", throttle response and feel are taken to a whole new level. Let's leave aside its 55 horsepower; this kind of equestrian value is almost superfluous in this category of machines. Well, let's be fair and Quae sunt Caesaris, Caesari: yesterday's Bonneville could count on 67 hp.

less powerful but more svelte, the T100 is more playful than the Bonnie 1200. It's lighter (11 kilos less), with a lower seat and shorter wheelbase and tail. While the machine may be less vigorous, it's nonetheless sharper and more agile.
You'll have to do without some of the standard equipment on the 1200, but optional on the 900. These include heated grips, center stand and passenger handle. There's room for more, much more. At least 150 accessories are waiting on the shelves. However, some features will remain the privilege of the 1200: the 6-speed gearbox and dual injection mapping.

French Ttchad Model 2025
I have a mecatwin carburetor bought new in 2009 from F.Depoisier. A few extra watts and torque, a real sound, a magnificent custom paint job... Not a fart to play with. I often do Dijon --》 Narbonne in one go, mixing departmental roads and freeways. A real treat. I've ridden it in Austria: a real pleasure. Simple bike, efficient on bends. Ultra-reliable: never a problem. Inexpensive maintenance (I do it myself). Just use SP98 and put premium oil in the boiler. I've been through yam, suz, Ducat, Bm, and now it's been 16 years and I'm keeping it. Rating : 5/5

As the proud owner of a Triumoh t100 Icon edition, it's a real pleasure to ride. Very responsive, reassuring, very pleasant ergonomics. I'm 1.63m tall and my feet touch the ground. At 45kg, I don't feel the weight of the bike when I'm riding. The sound is enchanting. The only downside is that the sound is still too loud for my eardrums. 15db less would be the grail. Incomparable sound, the smoothest engine, lots of torque, easy to ride, even better than a bike, which I loved riding on Sundays. For my 1m70, I'm perfectly on it with my feet flat on the ground, even after 3-4 hours on the road, and I've never had any back or wrist pain (unlike others I've had). More than once, I've been told at the stop sign, or by neighbors, how beautiful it is! All shiny chrome. I just love it.
As for the tires, they need to be changed right away. I replaced them with Metzeler Roadtec 1s, which I highly recommend, including the installation of a small bubble (ordered on Amazon!)

...indeed: high torque, short length and the tires (slippery) should be changed as soon as possible. The front brake is more than average. Like many, I think, I had problems with the wiring harness (too short) and ended up having to replace the speedo. Best solution for brand lovers: opt directly for the T120. Rating : 4/5

Perfect bike to customize, but far too expensive to start with - you can see that Triumph has been bought out by BMW.....for the price of one you get 2 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650......!!!!

Super-smooth engine at all revs, decent braking, noisy gearbox when shifting into 1st gear, low seat height, intuitive handling. Excellent finish: the pirelli phantom on my test bike isn't great: it sways on degraded surfaces and asphalt joints. But it's still an easy, pleasant bike, with an attractive finish Rating : 4/5
