Motorcycle specifications Moto-Guzzi850 V7 Stone Special Edition 2023 A bird of prey in a black jacket
presentation of the 850 V7 Stone Special Edition 2023
Moto-Guzzi continues to maintain its little V7 roadster. Small ..... 853 cm3 all the same. After 15 years of numerous versions, Mandello now offers the Stone model in a Special Edition, more velvety and barky.
Its "Shinning Black" livery announces a certain desire for charm. Black, black and more black all over, as on the "Ruvido" color, but matte instead of glossy - but in matte to replace the gloss. This V7 is even more provocative, with tiers of red on the V7 logo, shock absorber springs, fuel tank cheeks and seat stitching.
The Stone Special Edition is also identified by a plate on the steering knuckles, a black anodized aluminum cap and handlebar-mounted mirrors.
Although the V7 is far from being a streetfighter, it seems to want to emancipate itself from its Classic and Smooth image. The appearance of an Arrow short exhaust as standard determines this desire. A big cigar to let the twin breathe and release a few watts. No big deal either; it's all symbolic. One kW more, i.e. almost one and a half horsepower for a maximum of 66.5 horsepower. Torque is also up, from 73 to 75 Nm. Another slight bonus: these values are obtained 100 rpm earlier.
Always a little intriguing, atypical and uncatchable, the V7 launches a new seduction operation with this special series. It's an opportunity to discover a fuller voice for its engine, with cylinder heads in the spotlight, a cardan shaft on the transmission side, and a simple but not rustic chassis: a double tubular cradle steel frame, a brake disc for each wheel, a 40 mm fork, a seat that's not too high at 77 cm from the ground, and thin tires the likes of which are no longer seen in this displacement class.
The Stone is also up to date with a winged headlamp design, traction control, smartphone connectivity with MIA software (optional) and ABS.
The Guzzi 850 V7 Stone Special Edition boosts its price without knocking the wallet off course - just over 10 grand. And don't confuse it with the V7 Special, a more nostalgic, more glamorous model, enriched with spoked wheels, chrome and dolce vita colors.
