presentation of the 1000 Brutale Ottantesimo 2025
the Brutale has never been one for lace! Even less so when it was upgraded to the 1000 cm3 format. Now one of the most powerful roadsters on the planet, it also boasts an exhilarating silhouette. More tortured, more loaded than the original 750, but still true to its native bestiality.
mV-Agusta' s passion for mechanics was born 80 years ago. That's why, in 2025, we'll find a whole series of bikes designed under the "Ottantesimo" homage. The 1000 Brutale RS is one of them, with the added bonus of an engine upgrade to meet new standards.
How does MV-Agusta plan to mark the occasion? Especially with details!
the 1000 Brutale Ottantesimo takes up the traditional red and grey coat of arms of MV-Agusta. Virtually identical to that of the standard 1000 Brutale RS. Not a bad job at the CRC... with just a few touches of grey to make the difference and a reworked MV logo. There's also a plate at the base of the tank with the serial number, but it's not much for a bike of this calibre. A plaque "explaining" the correct pronunciation of MV - Emmevi and not èmevé - and announcing that this is a limited series of 500.
the work is more marked on the mechanical side. If it's not obvious at first glance, the 4 exhaust pipes (designed by Arrow) have adopted squarer mouthpieces. It's a safe bet that the engine has some new skills behind those exhalation nostrils. So let's see: new camshafts, a new ECU, a more sensitive ride-by-wire, a reinforced clutch requiring 50% more effort from the left lever, and ultimately much more power at low and mid-rpm. The company's figures include:
- 6 bhp and 10 Nm more at 3,500 rpm
- 15 bhp and 20 Nm more at 5,500 rpm
- 12 bhp and 11 Nm more at 8,000 rpm
- 12 bhp and 10 Nm more at 9,500 rpm
a good workout, for great relaunching. But all is not so idyllic. The Italian 4-cylinder no longer produces as much maximum power as before. Its output has been reduced to 201 hp at 13,500 rpm. But that's no problem. Although 7 horsepower less, it's still one of the most powerful roadsters on the planet. It's just a matter of ego.

as a result, it leaves the Streetfighter V4 and the M 1000 R to strut their stuff over the 210 hp mark. Authentic sick machines with insane power and military electronics. For the MV-Agusta, it's 4 riding modes, traction and wheeling control, 4th-generation shifter, IMU control unit, ABS Cornering, 5.5" color TFT screen, anti-stoppie, Bluetooth, GPS chip, geolocation system, Launch Control and cruise control.
Among the equipment, let's not forget the fully adjustable suspension (Marzocchi fork and Sachs shock absorber), the Öhlins steering damper with manual or electronic control, the fearsome brakes with 320 mm discs and Brembo Stylema, Pirelli Supercorsa SP rubber pads and the unavoidable monobracket. Brutal, yes, but noble too.
